Like the ColoradoI had an ‘04 Colorado. It was great. Ford wants you to think you have a big truck.![]()
My ‘68 Cadillac Eldorado has a hood like one of those infinity poolsI used to have a late 80's Mercury Grand Marquis. You want to talk about a large hood![]()
The ‘68 Eldorado and Olds Toronado had 478 hp, the largest hoods at the time and most powerful Engines. BTW my Eldorado won’t fit in the garage of most newer homes at 19’6”. I think the hood is 5’6”That honor went to the 76 Riviera my partner had, or the 70's Lincoln Town Car my buddy's father had. Those hoods could have been used as an aircraft carrier. Drove the Riviera a few times, wow huge and super fast with the 4bl 455 under the hood.....rated at 205 HP, but felt more like 300+, as it lit up both front tires.
Love your Eldorado! In my opinion, the best looking Caddy ever. 40 years ago, I rebuilt the front drive axels on my bosses car. Waaaay too much work for way too little moneyMy ‘68 Cadillac Eldorado has a hood like one of those infinity poolsand my ‘02 F250 has a hood that.s like a steep cliff
so my Maverick hood hasn’t bothered me at all.

it would have been nice for the Maverick Copillit to have front sensors.the only thing i dont like is the drop off at the front
I'll think im close to the wall/the vehicle in front and get out and see I'm not even close and still have 2-3 feet![]()
Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to get something to help you there. There are lots of devices, wireless cameras or wireless parking sensors, that would be a cheap and easy parking aid. Many people shy away from DIY and aftermarket, but there is allot to be said for a $50 replacable device not attached to other complicated systems. The whole truck is larger than we expected. I bought it for my wife who is tall and likes to sit up high. Now she's back driving the Accord and I get the Maverick. But I'm quite happy with the swap.
The only issue I've had is fitting it into a Walmart parking space. It's not easy to pull up far enough and not leave the rear sticking out. Several times I've exited the truck only to realize I need to pull up some more. I'm sure I'll adjust over time.
My last truck was a 1996 standard cab Chevy S-10. Now that was a much smaller truck than the Maverick.Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to get something to help you there. Personally I'd like to see an oversizes whoopie cushion attached to your front bumper. Now that would be an entertaining parking aid.
see attached photos takes care of problemIs anyone else bothered by the size of the hood? To me, driving, it obstructs my view, and in my opinion is disproportionate to the size of the truck. Thoughts?
Thanks, it was my Mother’s car. It now has 65k miles.Love your Eldorado! In my opinion, the best looking Caddy ever. 40 years ago, I rebuilt the front drive axels on my bosses car. Waaaay too much work for way too little money![]()
Wow, super sweet and worth $$$$$$!Thanks, it was my Mother’s car. It now has 65k miles.
I wish, but I took it to someone to fix some rust and repaint and they lost a couple pieces including the trim pieces for the vinyl top and around the rear window. i put $27k into it and now it’s not worth muchWow, super sweet and worth $$$$$$!
