I was under the impression that the XLT with Luxury Package came with heated wipers. After reviewing my build sheet, it seems to be missing. There are several posts here that also referenced heated wipers in the Lux package. Did Ford remove this from the package or am I mistaken. I could have sworn I saw it in the package discription. Has anyone else seen this, was it removed from the package?

Hi Msab13, yeah, I noticed the wiper de-icer now on the list of items included in Lux package, but for some strange reason heated wipers sticks in my mind as something Ford
described as being included and others even referenced in some posts. I have the feeling Ford did another bait and switch like with spray in liner than switching to drop in due to constraints.

As far as I can recall "de-icer" has always been the terminology used. Could be wrong but I've built so many virtual Mavs lol

I’m not sure they know what they are shipping out! I found my order listed for sale on my dealers website and one of the details was “ full sized spare tire”. Which I have heard is not included in xlt lux.

That means there will be a heat strip, like many vehicles have for the rear window, for melting ice and snow at the bottom of the windshield.

If you ordered a hybrid with copilot360 it's included

I know it's all about the $$$ but I really wish they had a winter package with just the heated mirrors and wipers. Wrapped/heated wheel would be nice too. Would have payed 1k for that. Between the constraints and 2.3k I couldnt justify the xlt lux

“Much like traditional rear window defrost systems, the base of the windshield where the wiper blades rest is equipped with a local heating element. The system is designed to clear light snow and ice from the wiper blades in under 10 minutes at minus 18 degrees Fahrenheit.”

windshield wiper de-icer according to Ford

Didn’t and didn’t. Knew I wasn’t getting one, but they listed my VIN so they should know.

Just looked at my paperwork. Ordered 8/27/21 XLT LUXURY PACKAGE LAST ITEM ON LIST = "WINDSHIELD WIPER DE-ICER" You had to print off the luxury package itemized sheet separately as the normal printout dealer furnished just showed "luxury package", I had to ask for luxury package to be printed out"

This heating strip or "de-icer" as it's called work pretty decent I let The ST warm up for 10 or 15 minutes never had a problem it's like icy blades are just a thing of the past. I live in Canada so they have been tested thoroughly.

You need to understand what bait and switch means. Switching because of constraints is not bait and switch.
