I'd use a couple moving blankets over the passenger side rail and tie down on the same side, front to back

I haven't had the need but I have a little 4'X8' trailer that would haul a few sheets easily.

Is this really an issue to solve, stick it in the bed, leaning on one side. Strap it down.

Can't say I've ever dealt with 5x5 plywood sheets. Only 4x8x(1/4-1/2"). But yeah, just lean them up against the left or right bed rail and strap'em down.

Cut them in half...It's a solution but not the one you're probably after. What TwoTone said.

Baltic Birch ply is fun to deal with. Even with a 6' bed you still have to angle it. The yard I go to will give you one free cut per sheet, so yeah I usually have them cut it in half or whatever else works for what I need. Full 5'x5' sheets suck to move around by yourself anyway.

You want to keep it flat until you use it. Lay carpet or blanket across your Tonneau cover with flat straps attached to in bed tie downs to hold sheets. If you are regularly going to do this you could make a custom pallet with protector cloth,/foam and tie pallet across bedrails to tie downs. The 5x5 cutting panels are easy to warp. The custom pallet could also hold them flat until moisture content stabilizes.

Yeah at 1/8 or 1/4 I would want it flat on the tonneau to avoid warping (unless a real short trip)

I hauled two sheets of 3/4 that stayed flat — if you have a tonneau you’ll need to remove it and angle the sheets it as other folks have said
