Two car garage that can fit one in winter mode and none in summer workshop mode. While getting to a covered location may be best, things can get real fast! I'm thinking the Costco carpet runners my wife can't stop buying might buffer impact while staying put once soaked. Sleeping bag or anti-fatigue mat might sail in the wind coming across the Mississip...

Thoughts anyone?
Find the nearest covered gas station. Slooowly fill your tank. If someone asks why it’s taking so long, tell them you’re sorry but, you know, “Its a hybrid!”

When we had the big hail here in Texas a few weeks ago I put down a blanket (to protect the paint), then put down an uninflated air matress (a little shock absorption), and then a couple of pre-cut 3/8" plywood (made sure they did not over-lap enough to catch much wind). I put weighs on top of the plywood. Even in 60mph winds it did not move at all. No dents or dings what-so-ever.

I have a friend that has "the slug" for his F350 (whole vehicle inflateable hail bubble). That thing is almost commical. He was trying to figure out how to hook it up to the weather app so it auto-inflates in case of bad weather.

Had recent hail possibilities warnings in last few weeks. What to do I ask?
Even tho we have 2 car garage, my side is full of tools, woodworking stuff. Wife can park her Escape other side. Last big storm, made wife pull hers in garage as far can go, I pulled behind hers. We have an angled breezeway connecting Houston garage, with just enough overhang to cover part of roof of the Mav. I then covered exposed area of top with a HF quilted moving blanket.

Other alternative is nearby hospital has elevated multi level garage. I could quickly drive there, get park , wait out storm.

This fall I might rip apart a robust wall side bench since I have a 3x6 ft rolling bench. Use it Instead.

Have couple woodworking tools that are large (radial arm saw, thickness planer), taking space, might try unload them. Then move other stuff in garage to make room to drive Mav in.
But told wife we could swap sides of garage to park our vehicles. Her side much larger, more space. Shoulda seen her looks when said that.

Spray the same coating that's in the bed on the roof and hood. Custom!
