Ford Maverick Goodbye old friend. old mav

Hello new friend!
Ford Maverick Goodbye old friend. new mav

I was attracted to the Maverick by the low price, but liked it so much I was willing to upgrade to get some luxury, like keyless entry for my wife and Adaptive Cruise Control for me. It was also just a neat thing to be able to say I got what I paid for the XL, after 13,000 trouble free miles.

I love keyless entry. I've had it on my C-Max 2013 car that has it and once you have it's hard to give it up. It's quite a testament to how much the Maverick sells itself to be willing to give up a car with 13,000 miles to a much more expensive version.

I'm looking forward to the adaptive cruise control since so many road trips would be easier with it. I love the charcoal gray. It was my second choice after black.

XL to Lariat seems like the only upgrade worth the squeeze. Normally it would be cost prohibitive to buy twice, but the high Mav resale value makes it possible. Nice flip indeed.

I felt exactly the same as you, I liked my XLT FX4 very much but just wanted some of the toys I was missing like keyless entry and start, and ACC, so I traded it for a Lariat Tremor.

Congrats on your new lariat. I ordered a new 24 xl hot pepper red hybrid to replace my 22 xl shadow black eco boost. The trade in value was almost what i payed. When the new 24 came in a couple weeks ago i decided to keep my 22 xl eco. It was a hard decision to let the 24 xl hybrid go but my 22 xl eco has mods on it that i like and has been problem free.

I was set to buy a XL AWD but after test driving that and then the Lariat I spent the extra $7500 for the Lariat and absolutely love it. My brother has the XLT and the noise/ride difference is very noticeable vs my Lariat plus all the luxury that I am used to in the Lariat.

Congrats on your purchase and loving all the pics of your bitchen looking rides. Bought my 22 Lariat 1st Edition AWD used in early Feb and am still amazed at all the "bells and whistles" it came with. I do wish whomever ordered my little beast would have had the tow package added but this has pretty much everything else. That being said, the adaptive CC was interesting to get used to. It almost feels the steering wheel is "fighting" me in certain road conditions so I just "let go let Ford" and place my hands back when the alert comes on. Also, my Adaptive CC will cancel at certain times so beware of that.

Beautiful truck. I have a '23 Lariat, also silver with same rims. We took it to the Outer Banks last month. I loaded it with grandkids' bikes, and a week's worth of food and luggage. The adaptive cruise control was easy to use, and the B&O stereo was an unexpected pleasure. Best of all, I averaged 39 mpg mostly highway miles. Hope you enjoy your new ride. Glad to hear you got a good deal!

Thanks for the replies. I love the ACC, but have never been a fan of lane keeping in previous vehicles. I haven't actually tried in the Mav, but the others are just annoying the way it fights you if you change lanes without putting on the turn signal, and they don't actually keep you in the lane all by themselves.

I would have preferred to trade in the old one to save sales tax, but the dealers in Michigan low-balled their offers, saying there is no shortage anymore. And the dealers in Florida refused to do A-Plan on a new one, they wanted to sell them above MSRP. It was time to go back to Michigan for the summer, so I ended up selling it in Florida for $3K more than the trade-in offers, and also saved the long drive or $900 it would cost to ship it. Seems like there is still a shortage in Florida, at least of hybrids. Bill Brown Ford in Livonia had several on the lot ready to sell.

I sold my old beater Ranger, so even though it is pretty, the new Maverick has to do real work.
