Good bye mini duty

In all my carefull driving, I couldn't count for the guy behind me that runs into me. At a stop light and he just plowed into me no brakes. Now the search goes on for a replacement "mini duty ll". May order a 25 if I can't find one I like. That's the car that ran into me.

At least it's good to see how other car was really damaged compared to the Maverick.

what in the heck is going on with everyone's truck getting rear ended.....I am beyond paranoid right now.......

Rear-end collisions are the fastest growing type of accidents. Gee, I wonder if it has anything to do with all the distracting screens people are staring at nowadays.

Everytime I come to a stop now my eyes are glued to the rear view mirror ready to book it onto the shoulder. I avoid middle lanes so I can keep a path of escape. The paranoia is real.

I have always been watchful (paranoid) for being rear-ended in all my vehicles. I decided to use a custom applied reflective tape stripe to the top of tailgate....gives me a little peace of mind.....

Just got the word today from the insurance that the truck is totaled. Kind of figured that with how light some others were hit and were totaled. I was banged up in the accident and take by ambulance to the hospital from the scene. They did a cat scan and said no broken bones but had whiplash. Have an app in a week with an ortho Dr to check my neck. Had surgery in May with two disc's replaced and a cage screwed to the vertebrae so want to make sure that's still in tact.

I'm glad you went to the hospital and had everything checked out. Hopefully your ortho doctor gives you the same results.
The truck it did what it was supposed to do. You can't ask too much more from it. Good luck with your next doctor's appointment.

Now to put all my accessories on the new "mini duty 2". Just picked her up today. Hybrid awd with a hitch. Got lucky enough to not have to order one because the dealer had this one coming in when I was in my accident.

These post has me thinking I may install one of those lower tailgate light bars, I saw a Chevy with one yesterday that had a strobe like mode once you were stopped sitting at a light it was a real attention grabber if the person tailing you isn’r nodding off or baked

Its 11* here in CT and i saw a young guy driving shirtless, holding up his phone like he was face timing or filming himself as he made left hand hard turn onto the pretty busy 2 lane road. I could not believe what i was seeing and glad he wasnt coming up behind me but crossing in front. Some people dont use the brains they were given.

I like the idea of a reflective strip across the tailgate or maybe a set of reflective "MAVERICK" letters. Every little bit helps. My biggest issue has been with people who don't understand what "merge" means.
