What grade of gasoline are most Maverick Hybrid owners using with the 2.5 Ltr engine?
Regular (89 octane) or Mid-grade (91 octane)?

The manual does not differentiate between the 2.0L ecoboost and 2.5L hybrid for octane recommendation. I've been running 87 without issue but may try 91 this summer when it starts creeping toward the 90s in July / August to see if there's any noticeable difference.Your vehicle operates on regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum pump (R+M)/2 octane rating of 87. Some fuel stations, particularly those in high altitude areas, offer fuels posted as regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating below 87. The use of these fuels could result in engine damage that will not be covered by the vehicle Warranty.
For best overall vehicle and engine performance, premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or higher is recommended. The performance gained by using premium fuel is most noticeable in hot weather as well as other conditions, for example when towing a trailer.

Try 87. (if available for even less)I use BP gasoline and I presently use 91-grade (mid-grade)
They have 3 grades 89 regular- 91 mid-grade and 93 premium
I would like to start using regular 89 grade (10cents cheaper)
I have always ran 87 but wished I had tried 91 this weekend. I was hauling just under the 2k limit and any extra power would have been appreciated from the hybrid. What grade of gasoline are most Maverick Hybrid owners using with the 2.5 Ltr engine?

Thanks!87. The hybrid doesn't have the hardware to take advantage of the benefits of anything higher so just get the 87 in your area. I had a road trip where the company would pay for my gas so I thought, what the hell, let's put 2 tanks worth of 93 in there to see if there's any difference: there's not.
Correct, as I recall it's 87 octane and 91 recommended only when you're towing in the Hybrid.I have always ran 87 but wished I had tried 91 this weekend. I was hauling just under the 2k limit and any extra power would have been appreciated from the hybrid.
