Had an email exchange with my dealer (Mass) today about allocations. He basically said his place gets few allocations for ANY new vehicles these days. He said he can't imagine how Ford thinks this is good way to run it's business. Dealership is pretty good size and has been been around for decades. Flat out said he had no clue when or if my truck is getting built.

Thank you @fordvideoguy for answering my question on your live stream tonight. You made it very clear for me to understand. You rock.

I remember a time on here not so long ago when people would skewer me for saying with certainty that not all MY22 orders would be fulfilled...

I'm very disappointed on my order just because it's bare bones maverick XL Hybrid base model. I just want it for the gas mileage. Also because it is $19,995 + destination fee + ttl. I understand my order is Oct 25, 2021 but it should be simpler to manufacture than those with options. I am in Corpus Chriti Texas not far from the border. I have only received notification that the order has been accepted nothing else except the mass spam email that my order has changed no details though.... My trade in has already depreciated $4K in value...
wow..I'm in Michigan and we are exactly the same - same order date, same bare bones truck, same reason, same notifications...mine's in CG - only difference is that my old beater that I'm trying to get by with isn't even worth 4k :} I didn't expect it until at least spring based on the pool of june/july orders that hadn't been made yet...now it looks more like mid or late summer...or worse. Keep in mind that there's probably more profit $ in orders with a bunch of options, so they might be trying to get them out if they have the parts...but , yeah ours are easier to build so somewhere we are probably going to leapfrog off some buyers who have some options that can't be fulfilled due to lack of parts..Hang in there, we'll get them.

So I've been here on the MTC, watching Tim, you tube, etc. and I understand that Ford will build our 2022 Trucks. If for some reason they can't they will be moved to 2023. The problem I have with this scenario is as follows.

If my dealer has 120 orders ahead of me (just using that as an example, I have no idea how many are actually ahead of me), and say they get 5 allocations a month. I won't get my vehicle for years. What am I not understanding? Maybe @fordvideoguy can explain for me.

This is my first ever ordered vehicle. I've always bought on the lot, and usually used cars.

Just put in another order with Chapman or Long McArthur etc. who has larger allocations. If your current order comes in before the new order then cancel the new order.
This is a smart way to do it...which I absolutely hate. This shouldn't even be allowed or legal. It fucks everyone up, it hurts allocations and the small dealerships, and is the reason why my June 10th order hasn't been scheduled yet and was rolled over to a 2023.

Also, I actually wish Ford ONLY took high value NON REFUNDABLE deposits of at least $3000 or more. That way, people would stop making multiple orders and Ford could actually prioritize and know exactly how many trucks they need to make for orders. I never made a deposit so Ford or my dealership has no reason to give a shit about me.

I want them to have a reason.

Question for the experts of Maverick ordering. I have my order number from Ford direct. My local dealer I ordered from just landed 3 Mavs (2 Hyrbid 1 Eco). Can I make any conclusions based on the order number on the window sticker of those 3 cars in comparison to my order number?

Hybrid 1 G6XX
Hybrid 2 G7XX
Eco1 G1XX

My hybrid order number G1XX

Thoughts??

Glad to say, my Dec 21 XL with TOW, 360, SIBL Order arrived yesterday in SOCAL. I did order an XLT with LUX, TOW and 360 Jan 22, but no date or VIN. I feel lucky for the Dec 21 Build arriving in March. 22. So may resell the XL if the XLT does not arrive too late after the market smooths off a bit. But the XL is a really nice truck BTW. High Volume dealers with simple builds does make a difference. Hope you get yours soon

You can use the Ford Vehicle Order Tracking to look those up, and then compare their order dates to yours. I've been doing the same for my dealer and the 7 or so Mavericks they have listed are all July-August orders, so I know it's probably going to be a while for my October order.

Have they announced if they're scheduling Mavericks this week (tomorrow)?

OMG...no way i'm getting a 2022 lol. These trucks were ordered in June/July respectively and just arrived. Interesting that the ecoboost was ordered after mine though. Good luck everyone.

I don't remember your post specifically. But I've responded to similar posts that claim "not all" orders will be fulfilled. Not with a "skewer," just with a comment.

Saying "not all MY22 orders would be fulfilled" isn't really saying very much. It's true if just one lonely Maverick order doesn't get delivered. It's kind of like predicting that there will be at least one penalty in an NFL game. You'll probably be right, but it doesn't tell us much.

On the other hand, it would be saying a lot to predict that more than X thousand orders won't be built, or more than XX% of orders won't be built, or absolutely no more hybrid orders will be built. Predictions like that are more meaningful but much harder to support.

It would be interesting to see someone make a solid prediction and explain how they figured it out. The predictions I've seen so far have been based on widely varying estimates of the number of orders and Ford's remaining MY22 production capacity. (See this thread for example)
