Front Storage Pocket (Dash Cubby) Use Ideas?

Does anybody have any good ideas on what to use the front storage pocket next to the touch screen? Things I try to put in there fall out when I step on the gas (and No, I don't have a lead foot).

Mabett sells a cubby insert. That secures into position and is removable. It has 2 storage areas. One is on the top and is concealed when the cubby is pushed in. It is pictured with the coins. The other is where the gray mat is on the bottom. Perfect size for a mini garage door opener.
The cheapest version at comes with a 17 mm ball mount along with the magnetic phone mount. I use a different phone mount and I also use the mount for my Garmin GPS.

I have a baby Groot in there that has what a person might call an 'interference fit'.

I put my garage remote in there. It's attached with a removable 3M Command Strip.
