Well, I think I found a Front License Plate Relocation Kit so I could mount the Front Plate (Commiefornia is pretty Anal about that). I think I tried a Bazillion different angles, and found one I think I can live with (My OCD disagrees though 😜) Did my best not too block any sensors as well. Found it on Amazon, which doesn't surprise me. The accessories available are endless....

Anyway, the Kit is from TECHPICCO if anyone might be interested.

If a front plate is required in your state the dealer should install it.
"Under California law (CVC § 11713.17), dealers are not forced to install the bracket if you decline it. They cannot deliver a vehicle unless it is equipped with a bracket or they obtain a signed written waiver from you expressly refusing installation and acknowledging that California requires both plates."
Did you sign the waiver? Ford supplies the bracket and it should have been with the truck. Do you not want the plate in the factory location?

Well, I certainly didn’t decline having the License Plate Bracket installed, and there was no mention of any kind of waiver. Being from California I totally understand the law here (AS ANAL AS IT MAY BE). As much as I hate where it needs to be installed, the front bumper is the only logical place. Especially since I tried using a Relocation Kit, which didn’t work based on sensor location. (Wish I could retract my earlier post. It looked good in theory until I started the Truck and put it in drive. The sensors went berserk! So, I think I’ll be making a trip to the dealer. Thank you for the info. I think I have enough ammunition now….

Guess I will jinx myself and say that over the past 45 years I have not had a font plate on my vehicles. Currently we have two out of five with front plates. One because CHP sighted me for no front plate (after letting me off for doing 80 with a trailer), and the other becuase my teenage sone drives it and we don't want the hassle.

Contact your dealer and request that they provide you with a plate mount and have them install it. There should be no charge.

It’s my understanding that law enforcement normally won’t stop anyone for not having the front plate mounted, unless they stop someone for some other infraction (like doing 80 towing a trailer 🤪 however, I really see a problem there…)

I do have the factory issued mount, and I’ll be paying the Dealer a visit (especially with some info I was given earlier.)

Be safe, and I hope you didn’t jinx yourself….

Momentary lack of judgment. Last 5 miles of freeway after an hour drive and kind of forgot I had the trailer. To busy rocking out to Hotel California and jumped in line with the fast lane.

I have a question. What was your purpose in wanting to re-locate the license frame?

Because I'm just having a difficult time drilling holes in the Front Bumper. It just kills the vibe and ascetics of the Truck. Besides the fact that plates are ugly......

Oh yeah, I totally get it. I've been guilty of that myself....

Yeah can see it literally blocking the passenger-center sensor in your first photo. My low-spec lobo doesn't have front facing sensors so I was able to get away with it.

You may be shocked to know that front plate requirements vary by state.

But having driven for 40+ years in my home state without the required front plate, my experience differs from your understanding... Here, LEOs typically will pull you over for no front plate (or other trivial silliness) in the interest of finding a more severe offense. They're fishing. When they find nothing, it's usually a warning and everyone moves on. As a front-plate scofflaw, this is roughly an annual occurrence for me.

They do.
In Arizona, you are not even issued a front plate unless you have a disability license plate.
Many people use "artistic" plates or they haven't got around to removing the dealer advertising...

Well, that's the thing. Most LEO's don't even bother, but there are the few that, like you say, are just "Fishing', or have a generally crappy attitude......

I think I'll just ride it out until I get pulled over, and we'll see what kind of attitude the LEO has. After driving over 54 years in Commiefornia, I've seen some really stupid stuff......

Hopefully cause I'm an Old Fart, they'll just leave me alone. My last pickup kind of stuck out, so I had to be a little be more behaved......🤣
