I'm thinkin' they don't want to argue with me as this is the 5th Ford I bought from this Dealership. (It did have a previous owner though. However, I don't think they want that kind of exposure should they get on my bad side....) 🤣
I think I'll just ride it out until I get pulled over, and we'll see what kind of attitude the LEO has. After driving over 54 years in Commiefornia, I've seen some really stupid stuff......
Hopefully cause I'm an Old Fart, they'll just leave me alone. My last pickup kind of stuck out, so I had...
Well, that's the thing. Most LEO's don't even bother, but there are the few that, like you say, are just "Fishing', or have a generally crappy attitude......
Because I'm just having a difficult time drilling holes in the Front Bumper. It just kills the vibe and ascetics of the Truck. Besides the fact that plates are ugly......
It’s my understanding that law enforcement normally won’t stop anyone for not having the front plate mounted, unless they stop someone for some other infraction (like doing 80 towing a trailer 🤪 however, I really see a problem there…)
I do have the factory issued mount, and I’ll be paying the...
Well, I certainly didn’t decline having the License Plate Bracket installed, and there was no mention of any kind of waiver. Being from California I totally understand the law here (AS ANAL AS IT MAY BE). As much as I hate where it needs to be installed, the front bumper is the only logical...
Sorry all, but I need to let everyone know that this Kit doesn't work. I thought that the sensors were clear, but apparently I WAS WRONG1 So sorry about that. I guess it's back to the drawing board.....
My OCD took a while to get used to the offset location, however it kinda makes sense now. I've seen a lot of crumpled rear plates on pickups, and that's gotta sting a little.....
The Dealer actually told me they don't do that anymore. I just rolled my eyes and said "then who mounted all the License Frames on every Truck in your Lot!?" All I got was dumb looks. I think I'll go back and ask them to put that in writing....😜 And thanks for the welcome!
I have a much quicker solution: If it's raining, we just take the wife's Escape SUV 🤣
Seriously though, that was an excellent post. Well thought out, and I'm guessing quite a bit of work involved.. Being in SoCal, we don't get a much rain, but I will keep this fix in mind......
Well, I think I found a Front License Plate Relocation Kit so I could mount the Front Plate (Commiefornia is pretty Anal about that). I think I tried a Bazillion different angles, and found one I think I can live with (My OCD disagrees though 😜) Did my best not too block any sensors as well...
So, I was snooping around the Internet, and came across the Maverick Truck Club. Since I just purchased a 2026 Maverick Lariat in Ruby Red, this seemed to be the place to be. I'm pretty impressed with the Maverick, and the mileage is awesome! (2.5 Hybrid AWD) Got a Bed Mat and a Soft tonneau...
