My truck now has 4K miles. Hate to say it, but if any CV axle fails on this truck, I will switch to a real rear differential axle powered truck. Basis for argument - it appears Ford doesn’t have any higher quality replacements CV axle. And it may not be a Ranger.

If any of you with standard ecoboost just use the tremor axles , a viable upgrade , hybrid your on your own to find a company to make an upgrade .
Stock axles are about $300 for both and just over $400 for the Tremor axles.plus install , unless you do it yourself .
In reality its about an-hour a side to do it.but im sure dealer is 3-400 per side labor.

Good to know that. I would be keen to know what is the difference between the two.
And if the Tremor axles more robust, would a Ford dealer upgrade to the Tremor types over the std type of any Maverick?

Under warranty? Not unless instructed to by Ford. You'd have a very hard time talking them into that even on your own dime.

Exactly my thoughts. Unless a service mgr feels for you, he might step up, agree to something better. And if he does, prob risk getting fired by big mgr or dealer owner.

I'm at 30500 miles, asked my service advisor about the wobble under acceleration earlier this week and haven't heard from her, need an oil change too, thought they'd have gotten back to me by now.
Make sure they wright it up and get a copy of the axle wobble paperwork so you can show the Ford rep that the issue was there prior to running out of warranty

Do you have any experience with GSP North America Axles? They make HD CV axles for a number of cars/trucks/ATVs. Visiting their web site noticed they have a couple listed for Bronco Sport.

Might be a future source.

This is becoming HUGE for Ford! DOCUMENT every conversation! Every response and how long it takes them to get back to you. I was told it would take TWO days to get new axles in. Then they said they ORDERED WRONG PARTS! Now, 3 weeks later they say {with NEW representative who asked ME to explain to HIM the HISTORY!!) new parts will be in on 10/31. NOT holding my breath! Luckily I am under warranty still and they have stated they were WARPED, a CLEAR manufacturing defect (FORD'S WORDS). They openly stated they were surprised it wasn't a recall because they'd seen so many!!

My thoughts exactly. At 25K, both my axles getting ready to be replaced. But if they are replacing them with defective design, what happens at 50K? Ford is screwing us.

There is a slight chance they waited until the refresh to introduce a updated design.

Regardless, a major fail. It's CV axles. Nothing new to the industry.
