This will be my first Ford since my 1988 Ranger, so I just found out about the FORScan program and sounds like it would be a great program to adjust your factory settings (wheel circumference for larger tires, TPM settings, toggling "features" on and off, etc.). I posted a video in another thread of a guy using it to calibrate his oversize tires on his Bronco, imagine Maverick will be same.

Several different OBD2 dongles are compatible with it and FORScan is available on Windows/iOS/Android. https://forscan.org/home.html

Never used it, used AlphaOBD app a lot to change things on my Ram 1500.

I've used it on my Escape for resetting battery monitor and reading sensors on another Ford. I've never used it to modify tires but it should be able to modify most internal configs.

Can I use it to turn off auto start/stop? Or am I going to have to disconnect that solenoid from the battery?

On some other Ford models its possible to disable in Forscan until someone takes delivery we wont know for sure if the Maverick will have the option.

The worst thing about Forscan is its unfortunate name, lol. Who approved that??

But it really is a cool and useful tool. Access is free…just have to buy a cheap adaptor. If you’re computer illiterate, it might scare you. If you’re tech savvy, it’s a breeze. You can change all sorts of factory settings. What the vehicle does when you lock it, auto start stop, automatic windows, turning off bulb checker (if you replace a halogen bulb with LED)….all kinds of stuff.

Let someone else do the work and then follow their instructions. That makes it easy.

I could come up with a dozen better options than Forscan. Every time someone mentions it on any of the Ford FB pages, there is the inevitable anatomy joke.
Yeah, that is unfortunate naming for sure, didn't think that through first (I get the same impression from some vanity plates). I get they couldn't use "FordScan" but at least something like "FLMScan" (Ford/Lincoln/Mercury) or "FoMoScan" would have been preferable. 🙄

I don’t like it, but I’m guessing it’sa nerdy play on the FORTRAN programming language.

ironically it needs the ‘D’... to make all the difference. lol

I've been looking at forscan for the last week or so.
My guess is because this truck uses sync 3 several options will be available immediately.
I'm on the fence about buying a OBD2 to usb adapter just to play with it.
It's a 50$ gamble so not huge, but not insignificant either.

Interestingly I have also only used it for BMS reset on my 2012 Focus and 2014 Focus ST. I hope it still works with Maverick.
