My tailgate unlocks with the main unlock button. There is no separate button afaik.

Mine looks similar but has no button for liftgate. Instead the panic button is shifted up one spot and the bottom is blank.

It would be trivial for the PCM (or SOBDMC, BCM, etc) to store the last drive mode. The only reason that seems to make sense not to do so is that the default drive mode must have some bearing on the amount of CARB/EPA cert testing required. An OEM likely has to perform additional testing...

I believe the traction inverter (SOBDMC/HPCM) determines the amount of regen; ECM determines driver demand. Here is a block diagram of the system:

The email from Ford will show the selling dealer, not the CD dealer. Same thing happened to me. Read this post for how to use your window sticker to reveal "hidden text" that shows the actual CD dealer as the destination.

I like your idea; a couple/few more feet between the rails makes sense. Most of what I've seen has either 2 roof crossbar racks or 2 bed rail racks. Maybe it would make sense to buy a set of each and split them into 2 sets of roof/bed rack with the hope of selling off one set. Hmmm :unsure:
