My point was simply that it's more important to design an easily replaceable system when it's a system that has parts that are expected to be replaced more frequently.
And there's lots of vehicles made in the past two decades that require partial/complete removal of the bumper to get at the headlight housings for a bulb replacement.

Wow! It sucks to see People are spending over a $1000 on a product that was waaaay overhyped just to get and install them, then do it again due to a "known" issue? And they just keep pumping out the same trash. I know DD bulbs/parts/ etc are generally good, but the finished product regardless of looks is not panning out to be much better than average Chinese Ebay crap.
Only 3 pages and 4 people having issues. Comforting. Screams quality.

I've never owned one. All of the vehicles I've owned in the past two decades had direct access to the back of the housings to replace headlight bulbs. The Maverick is the first I've owned that requires bumper removal to access the housings.

It only takes me about 15 minutes to remove the bumper and grille on the Maverick, so even if I had to do that every 8-10 years, it's not a big deal. It's not likely I will since I normally get more life than that out of a halogen bulb. I have a 14 year old car with 150K miles with all of the original bulbs.

If you paid attention to the end of the video you use a Phillips screwdriver to adjust the light output. yours obviously need to be raised.
If you paid attention, you would have seen that I tried that to no avail, and Form Lighting told me that the adjustment screws had vibrated loose during shipping. Apparently that sometimes happens. I was able to fix one of the lamps while it was still installed, but I had to remove the drivers side lamp in order to get the screw to thread back into the adjustment mechanism. ;)

Ok so i need to thread the adjust screw back into some how?
My issue is both headlamps... but i can live with the passenger height its the driver thats way too high

EDIT! False alarm! i just realized there is TWO adjustment screws! I was playing with that lower one on the right...and now that im looking at it with a flash light to take photos i found this upper adjustment screw and its working! So ill assume that 2nd one is probably for the high beams..im so happy i dont have to take it all apart again...

Yeah, you want to use the top adjustment screws for the main lamps.

The other screw is for horizontal adjustment. In theory, it shouldn't need to be touched once it leaves the factory. You should probably check the horizontal aiming since you messed with it.

Perhaps you missed the part of Jahson’s post where he stated that he tried to adjust his headlights using the adjustment screws but it didn’t seem to work for him.
Apparently I did, oh well.

Eh, anyone can draw their own conclusion. So far I've only seen a few people having issues. As is typical with any product. At least buying from Form/Diode gets you solid customer service and a 2 year warranty. Since I've gotten my replacement passenger side lamp I've been just fine. I only had to do minor beam adjustments.

I didn't draw any conclusion, i condensed what has been repeated in this short thread. "Its a known issue that the adjustment assembly comes apart during shipping" I did not write that.
My question is "If they come apart during shipping, how will they not come apart getting vibrated while on your truck?" If its a known issue this soon after release, there are more than a few people with issues. 2 year warranty is really good! I would rather receive a solid product upfront, than have to deal with customer service based on initial defect.

The lights look great! I was strongly considering them, but doing the install twice because someone couldn't QC once is a dealbreaker... especially for $1200 and after it being "known".

Either way, I am out as I have no vested interest at this point.

To be fair, they told me the issue is rare. Take that for what it's worth. Honestly, people generally only make posts when something goes wrong. I for one likely would not have posted here if my experience was uneventful. So I would imagine most people don't run into issues with these. Time will tell.

Also, customer support was prompt and helpful. They also told me that if I wasn't happy or unable to remedy the issue, they would send me replacements or issue a full refund at my discretion. Shit happens, but they handled it with concern and respect. I'm not disappointed anymore. Hopefully, they use my problem as a learning experience and find a better way to make sure it doesn't happen again. I would still recommend these lights and the the company as a whole. The cheap Chinese ones you find on Ebay are absolute crap. You will immediately notice the overall quality of these headlights as being premium, the moment you open the box.
