This problem for me seems pretty strange because an ordinary remote start with my FordPass app will not start my Maverick. Instead I get a message saying that the vehicle is in Deep Sleep and has no connectivity. However, if I use FordPass to do a timed remote start it does work. It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out, and I expect to end up at the dealership for a final resolution unless someone has had similar experiences and has gotten to the bottom of the problem. It would be great to hear from anyone that does have the solution.

For now I'm satisfied that all the parts associated with FordPass remote start are good, the vehicle is not actually in Deep Sleep and there is connectivity. Otherwise timed FordPass remote start would not work. Beyond that I'm lost.

Have you tried the obvious and tedious "Uninstall the FordPass App from your phone. Reinstall it?"?

How many minutes from now can you do a scheduled remote start?

FordPass says there must be a five minute interval.

Remote start is working this AM. No more deep sleep messages either. Have to see how things go from here.

Why not just take it to the dealer and see what the issue is?

I use my Fordpass app every day with zero issues.

I just spent the better part of a day taking delivery of the vehicle. But I will go back if necessary.

Is your vehicle the keyed entry type? If so what all does it connect to remotely using FordPass?

Thanks for the responses. I know there are gems out there and have found some for myself already.

I just got had the no-start condition CSP 22B39 done and we're hoping that will solve the deep sleep issue. Otherwise, I am able to start it up via remote and app without any issues. Of everything that was mentioned about this issue, replacing the battery is the only thing I haven't done. That will be next, if necessary.

I own an XL and use the ford pass app to schedule start my car regularly. Feel like a baller every time. Even my co workers are impressed.

I think the battery swap has been proven to be the most successful solution. However, everyone in this thread runs a hybrid. I wonder if you all are just being too efficient and the ICE motor isn't running enough to keep the 12V effectively battery charged. Likely not an issue with the EB.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Maverick concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Yup, just an XLT, no push start.

I was having the same problems. I use a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Being the issue resolved within the same time frame, I believe the problem was that there was a VPN running on my phone, and was somehow hampering the FordPass App. I had been having trouble with connecting to a Hover X1 drone with my phone and turning off the VPN fixed the issue, and subsequently, the FordPass app started working correctly too.

I just picked up my 23 XLT Hybrid last week and the Deep Sleep mode started when I got home. It was an issue until last night, then I updated the Ford Pass app on IOS and the issue is resolved. I can now access my remote functions. Update the app on IOS and/or Android if it is available and try it again.

I've deleted and reinstalled the app, but don't know how to update it otherwise. It doesn't have a software update pending.
