FordPass Android update - Locations 👎

Some time ago the programmers took away the location of the vehicle when it was in motion, now the latest update only shows the latitude & longitude instead of the actual address. Ugh.
Ford should get kids to do their programming.

Are you specifically talking about in-motion tracking? Because my FordPass is showing my Mav in my driveway as of 14 minutes ago. So the parked location definitely still shows on the map with an estimated street address associated with it.

Yesterday morning it showed the actual address, after I updated the app to 5.10.0 it only shows lat/long & not address...
I keep an older phone for backup that has an older version that shows the address

I am on 5.9.0. So that may be why. Bummer if this is my future. Haha.

I'm on 5.9.0 and FordPass shows my current location as...Deep Sleep.

No, in-motion was killed a few months ago..... V5.10.0

I hope I am not the one that caused them to remove the actual address and use Lat/lon instead. Have been on the phone with Ford as my location is incorrect on Ford pass. Street number is off just a little, so understand that, however the town is showing incorrect on my file. My home is probably a little over a quarter of a mile from the town indicated when I look at my file. The woman I talked to (and got back to me) said that the data is just not that accurate to pick up such a short difference... Have in the past contacted Google with the same issue... They were able to correct town name, not sure why Ford said they couldn't.

I'd hope that your phone call would make make such a change to eliminate addresses.... It's a pain to see where my family members may be now without them
Hopefully they'll restore but I heard the location while in Motion will not be.

I have version 5.10. "Location" shows gps coordinates, but if I zoom in on the associated map, it shows the address. Best of both worlds.

Not really.... You need to open maps, an extra step & Mine doesn't show the address that way, just a Pic of the loc.

• Backup the preferred version on your old phone and copy the backup file to your new phone, using a USB cable or QuickShare.
• Completely uninstall the app from the new phone, deleting app data & app cache before the uninstall.
• Turn off automatic updates in the Google Play Store settings.
• Install the app on your newer phone, using the backup file of the old version.

If you've never side-loaded any apps, you'll be prompted to allow app installs from your File Manager.

YES, I've backed up & installed apk files but I'll wait to see what Ford will do moving forward.

I have version 5.10.0 and mine shows the address. Weird it would be different, unless it's related to the phone somehow?
