FordPass Android update - Locations 👎

Interesting, using a Samsung S23 Ultra..
It takes several seconds for the coordinates to load in.....
Prior to this it was instant.

There is something wrong with yours. I JUST downloaded the new version (like 90 seconds before making this post), restarted my phone, opened the app, and it almost instantly zoomed in to my house, with full/accurate address displayed.

I just updated my Ford Pass and for location it says location unavailable.

I uninstalled & reinstalled & have the same results, only GPS Coordinates..
I guess it is my problem.

I have version 5.10.0 and mine shows the address. Weird it would be different, unless it's related to the phone somehow?

I've Android on a Pixel 8A

Dang, I have to eat my words. Today mine shows lat-long and no longer the address.

Odd it took so long after updating to 5.10.0 for this to happen, but it did.

Is anyone else no longer getting live data? My 2025 stopped reporting 2 days ago (gas level, mileage, oil life) and I can't remote start it in the app. Not "Deep Sleep" related. Seems like the app simply is failing to connect to the truck.

That part seems to work for me....

In most cases the raw GPS coordinates are indeed fed to the mapping part of the app, or it may be it's own service that is used, and that decides what is displayed. Google in this case on Android.

Live Data?
On Android 5.10.1 as of some point (probably upgraded the morning I couldn't remote start).
But fillup this morning did an update of info at end of fillup, or whatever time interval it happened to be on to update.
May have to sign out and sign back in to account. Don't create a new one.

Pretty sure upon stopping and truck turn off the GPS info is sent up, but could be a lag before it's sent to the app from the server if app is open already. I'm sure a new app open reaches out for current info.

On Location request, I deny app to check my location (rarely have GPS enabled anyway so it would fail anyway), and it displays with coordinates on Google map.
No amount of zoom in displays address.

Tap on directions and normal Google Maps brought up, fed with the coordinates, not address, even on zoom in. Thought I'd seen Google maps in the past convert coordinates to address if there was one, on some zoom level. But I don't use much, so...

Refresh (did a couple times and it said wait 30 seconds - so ya no live tracking data which I can see would get expensive) and allow permission One time for location - no change.
(wasn't going to enable my phone GPS because that should have no bearing on address provided)

For me, it is reporting it is in my driveway with a date of "one day ago". I've driven it since then, (and actually made a couple stops along the way where I turned it off and exited the truck), so I know it should have reported location at least a few times. It is currently in a parking garage and I am at work, so I know the location is very stale! Miles to empty also looks to be at least a day old, same with odometer.

I am going to try deleting the truck from FordPass and then adding it back in when I get home tonight. Has to be done from inside the truck, so I can't work on this until I am back in it. If you have seen some of my other posts, you know I have been messing with ForScan.....I wonder if I messed something up. Which ironically would make some folks REALLY happy if it meant we had a way in ForScan to stop the truck from reporting things back to Ford. Haha. People could stop pulling all those fuses on the onboard modems and stuff.

Interesting, if you go to
'Roadside Assistance'
it displays the actual address.

Thanks for the heads up. I just updated Ford Pass and now shows the address!
