  1. Who has named their Maverick Bret, Bart or Beau?

Named it Beau. Would have gone with James Garners "Bret', but figured everyone would do that. So I went with Roger Moore's character. Cool character in the Western and James Bond...
  2. Maverick based Flex Rendering

"All they need"? Yeah, that and two different size Broncos, the Escape, the Mach E, and two size Expeditions. And the Explorer is around $10k more than a Maverick, and I would hope a Maverick based Flex type vehicle would be less expensive than that. But, maybe you are right. I just find the...
  3. Maverick based Flex Rendering

I would definitely buy this! I've thought Ford should build an SUV based on the Maverick hybrid (same wheelbase, just extend the roof to the back) since I bought my Maverick. Most current SUV's don't have the storage space that the old station wagons had, this would be perfect.
  4. OBDll adapter plug for solar panel charger

The only way to get around the BMS is to wire directly to the negative battery post. The BMS is part of the cable that connects the negative post to vehicle ground. So any vehicle ground is on the "good" side of the BMS.
  5. OBDll adapter plug for solar panel charger

OBD2 port works fine. Been using for 2 years. It's part of vehicle computer wiring so it's designed on correct side of BMS.

  7. Are Vinyl Graphics Still a Thing?

  8. For those that complain about the dial shifter...

Push button gear selection on old Chrysler's was cool
  9. Wild MPG variation in hybrid HIGHWAY mpg: Driving style. Ambient temp, both.

My 2023 hybrid gets significantly worse mileage when it's cold. I have attributed it to denser air ( more air resistance) and engine running more to make heat for HVAC.
  10. Added retro vinyl stripes

    Pretty sweet!!
  11. My 2025 Lariat hit by Walnuts

A black walnut cracked the windshield on my wife's car
  12. Is your Maverick named Bret?

I went with Beau. Figured there would be a lot of Brett's
  13. Tonneau cover and flated topper compatibility

Sorry, decided that I needed to take some pictures and it took a while to get to that. I was not familiar with trifold hard tonneaus, so I looked a few up. It appears that they add a rail on the top inside of the bed to sit on. That would interfere with rail used by fas-top. The first picture is...
  14. Tonneau cover and flated topper compatibility

Yeah, I would have preferred a hard tonneau too. You can get the fas-top without a tonneau and add one separately, but I didn't go that route since I've never had anyone break into a soft tonneau and the integration of the tonneau and top was a selling point. Ideally, I would like to see...

  16. A little concerened!

I have a 2023 Lariat hybrid with almost 40,000 miles on it. I've driven it from Detroit to Seattle and back via all the national parks in between twice, and Detroit to Salt Lake City and back once. Not a hiccup. It is one of the most reliable vehicles that I've owned, and certainly the best gas...

Sorry, did this on my phone. Noticed several typos/fat fingers. Hopefully it makes sense
  19. Seeking best plan for a solar panel battery maintainer hookup.

I have a 2023 Lariat hybrid. I have the battery tender solar charger, which comes with an inline fuse. ( https://a.co/d/dDjHIHU ) I ordered the battery tender unit because I have always had good luck with them. There are others that are cheaper and/or have higher amperage ratings if you want to...
