Ford Pass points - expiration

I havent used my Ford Pass points since gaining it when I bought the Maverick, which is almost a year. I read that it expires basically after a year but thats only if you let it sit right? If you get the credit card and gain more you should be good?

Yes. FordPass Rewards Point balances expire and are forfeited when a member has not earned Points, redeemed Points or fulfilled a reward earned through FordPass Rewards for 365 consecutive calendar days. App usage does not qualify as activity needed to keep Points from expiring.

maybe I am misinterpreting it and any points will expire after 365 days upon earning it. . can anyone help clarify?

Get oil changed before one year is up and use points to pay.... I did not get card but if it adds Ford pass points I would assume it keeps points active so you can buy another Ford with them.

Trying to verify if that's correct too, seems to have conflicting and unclear understanding of the program. . Wish they would just indicate the expiration dates in the Ford pass account like how starbucks reward program works.. (i dont think if its changed since i dont buy SB anymore).

What do you plan on using you points on?

Probably service the next time I do an oil change. Figuring out when I'll have to do it by. Next change projected in July via the app but thinking I can go in the next few months. Any remained probably buy something.. unless I can hold it

This happened to me. Got an email notice saying my Lincoln Way points were going to expire. We have a ‘22 Aviator. Since we have an extended warranty covering oil changes and even windshield wipers, I hadn’t used the points. Ended up buying Maverick mud flaps and get another extension on the Lincoln Way points.
I am hoping to, but will likely get denied, when I try to combine Lincoln Way points and Ford Pass points, to purchase a roll up tonneau cover. For some reason, I can’t combine the points across the Ford/Lincoln Mercury universe to buy it. Once my Ford Pass points are activated, I plan to fight it.

Interesting.i just had my first oil change on my 23 mav and used my points for the first time.i asked the service manager this same question and she told me they are good for 3 years after purchase.
