Thought this was interesting. Especially with so many posts projecting lower sales because of price increases. Not saying that it didn't hurt sales numbers but maybe not. Especially when Ford listened and increased infotainment screen, sync 4, hybrid with AWD and 4k tow. Anyway glad they are still selling well. Not sure for how long with everything appearing to increase in price.

Do they ever break it down by hybrid vs. EB and by trim level?? How about for past years? Just curious if trim composition has changed over time with price hikes....................

Like you said, with Hybrid AWD & 4K available, as well as Employee Pricing, I'd expect a sales increase. However, the year over year increase is a bit less (11.6%), so let's see what happens for the rest of the year.

Yeah we bought Q2 for the pre-tariff pricing w/ the employee pricing and I expect that really boosted the quarterly numbers, we'll have to see if that was enough to keep the annual sales on par with 2024 after the back half crunch hits. For me the Maverick didn't make it onto the shopping list until it had 4k AWD hybrid available, so this was the first model year I considered it.

Not to mention dealers are still, in some places, selling off the last of the MY24 trucks, deeply discounted no doubt. A week doesn’t go by that I see a Reddit post about someone buying a new 24, for context.

Because just like the members here with issues with their Maverick - they are a vocal minority and represent a sliver of the MTC owners....

The bellyachers on here saying they'd never buy a Mav at the current prices are just a tiny sliver of potential car buyers and not representative of the masses.

Paid $36,800 for my 2025 AWD Hybrid Lariat 4K w/moonroof and I'd do it again every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I got my brand new 2024 right off the showroom floor back on June 14th. Between employee pricing, me being an affiliate of the dealership, the 2025s being out and my last car getting totaled I was able to finally get into a Maverick! Put on just under 3k miles and I'm loving it so far 👌

Shows fords higher pricing was smart for THEM. Not so much for buyers. But why sell it for less when you can sell it for more with same numbers or even higher. . Doesn't make me happy but I sure bet Ford likes it.

I think some failed to realize that most people purchase a vehicle based on the current price rather than what it used to cost. So the first time purchaser is simply judging the Maverick based on whether it's worth x dollars to them. Many don't know or care what it used to cost. They simply see a vehicle they like . I don't think the first time truck market isn't nearly exhausted yet. And the Maverick is simply the right size for many. And there's only ONE near direct competitor. Current satisfied owners who still want a truck have a few choices to make when it's time to replace their current Maverick: keep it a few more years, get a competitor at a higher price, get a larger truck (even higher price), or get another Maverick. f they choose another Maverick, Ford will be happy. If they choose a Ranger or F series, Ford will be ecstatic. If they choose a competitor, it won't be because they can't afford the Maverick. They probably would have chosen the competitor anyway. Most of us who bought Maverick vs another truck did so for 2 MAIN reasons: price and size. Those reasons still stand. Those who bought it for size likely don't want a larger truck .

They (Ford) ain't trying to run a non-profit corporation. They launched the Maverick with a bargain-basement price, saw the demand, and started getting what they could. Until some real competition enters the marketplace, why under-price it?

I try to tell people that the 2022 price was an INTRODUCTORY low price. In fact, most people who reviewed it at the time were stating that they were amazed at the seemingly low starting price. I think Ford mainly wanted to get this new vehicle on the road given that they were reintroducing a vehicle to a long neglected market segment . When sales exceeded their expectations, they raised the price to the "normal" price. Is it corporate greed or supply and demand? Likely both. But that's no different than for any other vehicle or product from corporate America. I'm the last person to defend corporate America. But I do believe Ford has a right to make a decent profit on the vehicles they sale. And I want their workers to make a decent living too.

I disagree, yes majority of buyers use to buy on impulse and wake up from the either later with regrets. That's not the case when majority of Maverick's are orders and many waited months sometimes over a year. So they most likely researched it. Just like many posts on this site says thank you from the knowledge they extracted on the Maverick from the site.

I know I did. Looking for mileage, easy ingress and egress, ground clearance, payload, towing etc.. In other words it has to meet my needs and requirements.

Cost many times is justified by what you get or best bang for the buck. Not necessarily just price but what you get for that price. Keep in mind many were wanting push start, sync 4, a larger infotainment screen, hybrid with AWD and hybrid with 4k towing. So yes it's available and Ford listened to those commenting. Unfortunately they have to recoup the expenses to provide these and other things like inflation and tariffs.

If it wasn't for the no sale happening until issues being fixed (recall) doubt there would be the inventory you see now at dealers.

I'm sure Ford is still dealing with getting parts on time at the factories. All these issues and more can and will restrict manufacturing and prices.

I think one reason they raised the price was including and offering more on the vehicle. Another reason could be they couldn't keep up with the demand and switch some buyers up to a Ranger.

Also inflation, tariffs and if there cost goes up it's passed to the consumer. Let's also be realistic there is always a price increase on new model year vehicles.
