I think one reason they raised the price was including and offering more on the vehicle. Another reason could be they couldn't keep up with the demand and switch some buyers up to a Ranger.
Also inflation, tariffs and if there cost goes up it's passed to the consumer. Let's also be realistic there is always a price increase on new model year vehicles.

It's a combination of things. Some of necessity, some because they simply chose to because they could, and since this is a mild refresh with some upgraded content a price increase should have been expected.. Of course, no one likes a price increase. But the Maverick had some wiggle room given its (relatively) low initial introductory price. The only thing that could potentially raise the price to an unacceptable level would be crazy tariffs. And who knows where they'll land.
