Installed the Ford Drop in Liner. Very easy especially if you have a Jig Saw! Took about an hour and a half and looks great. I highly suggest not ordering your truck with it and installing it yourself! (That way you don’t have a building constraint)

Looks good, nice job.

Not that I wanted the drop-in because I wanted the spray-in but I'm getting one on my '24 XLT because of the lux package. I asked my dealer if there was a way to drop the drop-in and add the spray-in but alas no, if you get the lux package you can't add the spray-in, at least for now.

I'm unaware of any constraints on the drop-in, I think it has had a rather low take rate.

I have placed an order for a 24 hybrid XLT with the lux package. That means I'm stuck with the OEM DIBL, although I would prefer an aftermarket SIBL. My question, is whether the DIBL is prepped to received the cargo management rails I will have with my current Maverick? Are the mounting holes visible or hidden behind a DIBL panel? Will transferring them be a major pain? Can I assume the DIBL includes a cover for the tailgate?

All the markings for cutting are on the back side of the panels, and yes there is a tailgate piece as well (it is visible in the OPs last picture). It doesn't cover as much of the tailgate as I would like though.

Gonna be ordering mine soon, thanks for the post, with points it'll be only about $200, the most economical option for me.

It does look nice but in 5 or 10 years the water collecting underneath there will completely rust the bed out. That's why they do the spray in bed liners. It probably won't affect you, but when someone removes that in 10 or 15 years it'll be a nightmare.

Thinking outside the box here without any experience, but has someone tried to caulk the seems to avoid this issue ?

There are gaps and spaces all between the bedliner and the truck bed there's no way for water not to get in there. Actually sealing the seams would make it worse. Trap the water in there.

I’m not so sure. Without a liner there are holes in the bed that let the water drain out. Just a though.

What I meant is to caulk the seams so water does not get in between the the truck and bedliner. But now looking at some pics it is clear that this idea will probably not work, plus one would probably have to caulk it at least once a year...
And like you said, if water does get it, then its worse

It has not been my experience in the past that bedliners rot out a bed. I have had rusted out trucks in the past and removed the liner and the bed was in remarkable condition.
If moisture gets underneath it is just run out the back. I would not do any caulking as it would prevent moisture from draining or drying out.

I installed the drop in liner and it all turned out great. Just used a jigsaw to cut the squares out on the two back corners.

Preinstallation putting down two coats of a paste wax is helpful. Then do proper spring cleaning and pull liner and rewax. Love your truck treat it right. For the investment it is worth it. I have a 2000 S10 and with this process I have no rust. Had an 81 Datsun Diesel which I did for same and in 20 years no rust. Enjoy.

You have removed and cleaned and waxed under the bedliners then reinstalled them more than 40 times?
Makes the spray in bedliner even more attractive than just avoiding rust.

I've owned a variety of trucks, always had drop in liners of various makes and types, have never once seen one rust out a bed or even induce rust. I've peeked under a few across the years, including my 14 year old Ranger, and the beds are pristine. I've heard this "it'll rust out the bed" crap since I first started driving more years ago than I care to admit, but I've yet to ever see evidence. So no, I ain't gonna be losing any sleep over the modular bed liner. Check with me in ten years when your spray in is chalky and scratched to hell, and we'll compare notes.
