I put in the Ford Drop in bed liner. Decided not to cut out for the side storage since I have enough room under the seats for everything I need. Plus it makes for a cleaner look and less junk getting under the bedliner through the huge cutouts. I also decided not to cut out for the 12v wiring at this time since I really have no use, lets be honest I always have my cell phone if I need light under a tonneau cover. I am very impressed with the quality fit. I almost decided to do a spray in liner but am so glad I chose this instead. Since mine is a XL I added the two missing factory hooks and then added my own D-Rings from Amazon. The Factory D-rings are almost $90 for 2 so I decided to go with the $20 Amazon D-rings. I did buy factory bolts for the D-ring mount holes and the factory bolts for the side tie downs. Also tapped the side holes with a M6x1.0 and the D-ring holes with a M8x1.25. Take your time if you do this, they are almost 1/4 deep that you are cutting threads into. You can use glass cleaner as a cutting fluid, it works fine if you clean the threads every couple turns. I did buy the Gator SFX trifold but only plan to use it during the winter and the few times I might need it to carry something if I know it might rain. It only takes 5 min to put on.

I am wondering why the factory drop In doesn’t have the cut outs for the electrical towards the tailgate.
My dealer is looking into this with Ford. He stated they might have to replace the side panels on the drop in liner.
The dealership also stated it would be tough to get accurate cut out on the sides.

The bedliner is marked on the backside for all the optional places you can cut it out depending on how you plan to use the truck. The side panel can be taken off in about 10 minutes and then you can drill the four corners of the hole you want to make and finish the straight edges with a little jigsaw or similar tool.

How do the sides come off. Do you just pull on them.
I would do it myself instead of the dealership.

Remove the tiedowns on the side you want out. Remove the small screw at the bottom corner next to the tailgate that goes through both layers of bedliner. Pull out towards the center of truck from the bottom on the side bedliner panel. When you put it back make sure to have it tucked under the metal top rail, not just the plastic top cap.
