Pre MY25 only get OTA updates for Sync 3 equipped trucks. I would suspect that the dealer has applied one or more software patches from Ford to your truck that has altered the original functionality you experienced, either by design or oversite by Ford. Don't think your dealer can do anything to restore that until Ford issues another update to correct it - assuming it was an oversite. Have no idea if this is correct but it's my assumption/2 cents.

Thanks for replying. Yes the little steering wheel and lane markers appear at the to left of my dash board. If I am between the lane markers it turns green. I know what button you are talking about. I've turned it on and off just to make sure it's working.
If the Wheel with lanes is in green in the top left, and both lanes are marked green in the center of the dash, ACC/Lane Centering should be on. Sometimes it won't detect the right or left side lanes and they will be white, lane centering won't work.

If yours looks like my photo and it's not staying centered in the lane, something is wrong with it.

Sounds like they just were making stuff up about a software update, which I don't think is even possible over the air on 2022 through 2024s. I'd find a different dealer in that case.

A guess would be if the IPMA Lane Departure Warning System Camera Calibration is needed.
Ford's FDRS can do it.

Forscan shows it as one of the service procedures.

Lane centering + ACC = Ping Pong (NOT Blue Cruise)
this is likely, but the easiest thing to check first is that the IPMA camera is clean and the windshield is not chipped near the camera.

if it's dirty or damaged you'll get degraded performance. eventually it'll chirp and tell you that the camera is blocked, but there's a range of bad before that happens.

again - probably calibration needed.

I have a 23 Bronco Sport Badlands, with a 25 Maverick AWD, Hybrid, 4K tow coming in a couple of weeks. The Bronco has the same options as the Mavericks. After reading your note, I would concur that the lane centering dies Not work as well as it did when I first got the Bronco.

One is the button on the turn signal lever, the other is a button on the steering wheel near the cruise control.

Very interesting thread, as well as the thread on the Ford F150 site. I've felt as if my Lane Centering wasn't as accurate as before and has been ping ponging for a while now. I hadn't mentioned it on this site previously, becuase well, I thought perhaps it was just my imagination. Never occured to me that my slight difference in ride height, going from 225 to 245 tires back in October, may be responsible for a slight degradation in the lane centering performance.

Now I'm going to check it out....

Update:
Nah, total difference in diameter between the tires is 1", which translates to 1/2" of increased road height. Can't imagine that's throwing anything off. I'll look for a dirty sensor (which should be spotless as I cleaned it off thoroughly haveing removed the bumber back in April) or a strategically placed windshield chip.

Interesting. I guess the only thing I can do now is maybe open up a case with Ford. I have no idea what kind of success I will have that.
Adaptive cruise control has lane centering. Period! OTA updates are not supposed reduce functionality. Something is wrong. And the tech who was assigned to your vehicle doesn't have the patience to dive into the cause. So he probably just told the service advisor something that he wishes were true. The tech needs to open a hotline contact case if he's having problems diagnosing the problem. He needs to specifically mention that the functionality has changed and is no longer working as it used to. The OTA may have changed some settings. So double check to make sure that it's set the way you originally set it. But lane centering is just that. Lane centering. And it definitely more accurate than simple lane keeping assist.

It may not be enough to make a difference. But then again it could be. Have the dealership perform an ipma camera alignment procedure. When we do it, we measure ride height and enter the value into our scan tool before performing the procedure
