well i did a thing after I got home from work this evening.

I have another bracket to try on the way: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09ZDDXQ1B?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details This one will allow me to mount the lights a tiny bit lower & wider - which is obviously better for a fog light application

I may also end up modifying the plastic license plate holder so I can mount the first bracket upside down, which will allow the lights to be mounted at the same height as the intercooler opening. Wasn't going to mess with that tonight as I did this all in the dark and its 25°F

I walked out to the tree line that can be seen in the photos and I was pleasantly surprised that there was not any distracting / blinding glare. Even ducking down so my face was in the beam pattern of the headlights - the glare from headlights was worse than the fogs. I still may end up aiming these down a smidge. As is though, these do a great job of filling in the blank spots to the left & right of the stock headlight beam pattern
Looks to project plenty of light out to the sides, even though they are mounted closer to centerline of vehicle. Can you show some pics from the front please?

That's what happens when you use *actual* SAE fog lights instead of putting flood lights on your bumper & just calling them fog lights lol. I do have them ever-so-slightly angled out, but you won't notice it from looking at them straight on

Are you looking for a front pic at night or the day?

Day, to see how they look mounted up. I totally agree on the selection making the difference. I run the Rigid SR series SAE/DOT approved selective yellow lights on my Superduty, for work (I didn’t pay for them, the company did) and they are great.

Fogs definitely made a difference! While the LED headlights do a fair job of lighting up the perimeters, these fogs do the job so much better. Great work!

Have you looked into the remote switch for lighting at F150leds.com? While you have already made a hole in the firewall, this might at least save you the trouble of tapping into your dash. This is the method I will use.

I’m considering this too, and while I don’t like the idea of drilling holes in my interior I’m not crazy about the idea of having a remote control for the lights either. Battery dies and you can’t turn your lights on

I got a bid for $475. To make the mounting brackets to replace the tow hooks and install the lights and a rocker switch on the lower left dash. I went to a custom shop. I am not a expert when it comes to electric but I know enough that there are issues with LED lights. Some of my lights are LED and others or std bulbs. So I will use a pro so I don’t burn something up. The $475 includes parts and labor. The lamps are rectangular and fill the tow hook area.

I know you've been preaching about how the SAE fog lights are far superior to the lights labeled as "fog". Look no further than the pics you supplied! Many thanks.

I understand the terms.
But shouldn't headlamps be driving lights?
🤣

Nice install. Did you take the bumper off?

Where did you put the switch(es)?

haha you have a point. Thanks. Did not take the bumper off. I removed the fender liners which gives you access to the back of where the lights are mounted. However on the drivers side there’s a computer in the way so I had to work through the cutout to mount them. Probably would have been easier if I cut the whole window out but I prefer the look of the smaller area cut out. Haven’t decided on the switches yet, still hanging under the steering column

Thanks guys! I don’t love the rubber molding so I may look for something else but I’m happy with it for now.
You're welcome. If we hadn't been following along, I would have guessed from your last picts that the Torrance Healing Church was also in the business of installing accessories. LOL.
