I know this is a hot topic for lots of folks and it's taken me a while to get to it, but I have 3 different foglights headed my way, an fx4 bumer with the tow hooks that'll be here hopefully this week, and brackets ready to test.

Hoping all goes accordingly and I can make something clean and simple!

I like the idea of the way they will look but I can tell you if the headlights are as bright as my work 2020 Explorer they won't be "needed". I get high beamed at least 5-10x per night with mine on low.

Waiting, most interested in mounting a switch. But options are good for lights.

Proper foglights should never solicit getting "hi-beamed". I've had many that did their job but didn't annoy others. The worst are the bumper spanning "FU" lightbars that some think they need on the road. If there were ever a case for justifiable roadrage....

The headlights are virtually identical to the Explorer headlights as the led reflectors are very similar (we have a 2021 explorer st that i just took the lights apart on.) that said.. a headlight isnt designed for fog. and Optics for Fog lights and where the light is designed to project is completely different than headlights

Retail on it $419, so I'm hoping once i get brackets and what not designed and available to purchase, folks use me/my product to make up the time/cost involved lol

Makes sense- my biggest concern is knackering up cutting the holes after having bought a kit. Can’t believe Ford didn’t just make those cutouts removable on all the bumpers. Too many Oreos I guess. Watching intently to see what you come up with. Porcupines on foggy roads can make for a rough night.

I think many people get high beamed because they have no clue when or how to use fog lights. They just leave them on constantly! They are not meant to be on every time you go somewhere.

Everywhere here in MO! The worst are the jacked up trucks that never adjusted their lights down. So now you get ultra bright headlights AND foglights on beaming directly into your eyes.

For a while I just assumed all these newer vehicles turn the fog lights on automatically as so many people drive with them on. But could just be most people here are morons, which is par for the course.

You mean, you only turn them on in heavy fog? Could that be why they are called fog lights? What a concept! That is like using the left lane for passing only. Common sense and driver's ed are a thing of the past on the road today. (I am 100% in agreement with you).

Someone had a post of lights he put in those cutouts you're referring to and they looked really good
