Sounds pretty good. I've only tried with snow tires. Maybe it gains 10 mph. At 60 mph, I was easily passing all cars. Doesn't track as well as AWD drive though. Gotta remember slippery mode and keep 2 hands on the wheel for tracking corrections. Less active beer drinking too.
I save the beer drinking for sitting in the bed of the truck. Can you write a country song about getting drunk in a mini maverick truck?

Snow obstructed head lights are concerning.
Wax or rain-x the headlights, it really helped. I cleared the slush before it froze on there too, which also helped. I have a really good coat of wax everywhere right now and it's helping, snow is not sticking nearly as much.

Fwd hybrid on contis. Also in Wisconsin

The tires are not good in the snow and that was expected. Driving in the city anytime I took off from a dead stop in electric mode it will instantly spin regardless of throttle input. Country roads at about 50mph 3-4 inches of kinda slushy snow it will pull from one set of tire tracks to another.

As expected the Maverick is no comparison for my 09 4wd Silverado. I still like the Mav but the tires are worse than anticipated and the bar was really low. Gotta order some snow tires and rims.
In Slippery mode I've had no problem with the stock tires on my Hybrid.

But I guess I always mentally compare everything to the RWD '86 Grand Marquis I learned to drive in, so our definitions of "good" may be different. 🤣

Very happy to hear about the snow driving. I went with the 4K tow pak AWD on mine. Here in west Texas we get the freak winter snow storms, and our snow removal is a bit of a joke. I kinda need it to get to work on those days. I dont like driving in it, not because I cant drive well in it. On the contrary I do drive well, it's just the other people that concern me. Now I cant wait for us to get 8"-12" so I can test it out.

I am in the Indy area too. My FWD XLT is scheduled for the week of 1/15. I am also curious about how the FWD will handle snow.
I'm in Indy, and have the hybrid. I put Wildpeak A/T's on mine. Hate the snow, but sort of excited to see how they perform. Took a small mileage hit, but worth it over the stocks.

My FWD XL with the stock Continental tires has done fine so far in the snow we have had in Santa Fe - haven't gone up to the mountain top yet - snow tires would be a good addition - only have a 1.000 miles on the tire but they don't come with much tread depth

My tremor was great. Drove from Bloomsburg to downingtown during Saturday’s snow storm and had no problem. Put it in slippery mode and didn’t spin tires or fishtail at all. Best traction I’ve had in a vehicle over the years. Better than my past wrangler, explorer, f 150, and envoy. I was really impressed!

I'm in Dillon CO and got my 23 Eco AWD in November and promptly put on Falken AT3's 245 65 17. Maverick tracks beautifully and haven't been out of normal mode yet. Front end will slip slightly in a turn so am careful turning but straight line it's like a tank. I do notice a slight squirrelliness when changing lanes going from pavement to snow and back to pavement. I'm very confident with this Maverick and love the remote start to get the seats and steering wheel warming up.

when the snow is coming down like Star Wars Lightspeed, visibility is a bit more of an issue than I remember it being with the Halogens in my GTI.
That’s the exact thing I thought the first time I drove my Maverick in a snow shower 😂

On Monday I drove from KC to St. Louis in driving snow. 2023 XLT hybrid, original tires. The highway was slushy, speeds about 50. I felt the snow ridges on the road. There were many cars off the road. I felt confident all the way.
You FWD or AWD?

Yes, it’s AWD. I never thought about the headlights not melting snow though, that’s a good point. I’ll have to keep an eye on that.

What I will say though is that because the headlights are so bright (at least brighter than I’m used to), when the snow is coming down like Star Wars Lightspeed, visibility is a bit more of an issue than I remember it being with the Halogens in my GTI. I can’t compare anymore, but it seems like the LEDs cast so much more light on the flakes and draws your vision away from the details of the road more than I remember.
Yall are experiencing the biggest problems with LED headlights:

No heat produced by the light emitter means the ice/snow doesn't melt off the headlight lens. To my knowledge the only solution to this is RainX and/or occasionally stopping to clean the headlights.

Anything water/ice/snow/etc causes refraction and glare at the wavelength these lights produce. It makes the falling snow much more noticeable, and makes ice and water on the ground (road) much less noticeable. Halogen lights (or anything more yellow/amber) don't cause as much glare, making the falling snow less noticeable but make water/ice on the road much more noticeable. The best solution to this is to add selective yellow (or amber) fog lights, or LaminX yellow headlight film.

I also went AWD with the tow package, and that is the exact mindset I have with driving in snow as well. I feel confident that I will make it anywhere if I’m left to my own decision making and instincts, but as soon as other drivers are around me I grip the wheel a little tighter.

We’re supposed to get another 10” tomorrow so my commute home from work will be the biggest test so far. Friday afternoon, everyone in a rush to get home, country roads that won’t get plowed…
