I'm lazy and wishing for side-by-side pics of the options:

FWIW - if your only reason to want Gas only is the power needed to run your radios, the hybrid has a regular 12V system. The 12V battery is under the rear seat. This may make power routing easier.
Just FYI - he reviews the Continental TERRAIN Contact AT, not the CROSS Contact ATR. These are different tires. Though I would say that there's probably some carryover due to general Continental design methodologies and performance characteristics.
I've put about 700mi on the ATRs since replacing the worn out Pirelli's (35,000mi). WOW what a difference!!! Quieter, smoother, MUCH better steering feel, more surefooted in the wet. Seems like slightly better gas mileage too. I've had Continentals on plenty of other vehicles and usually run...
As long as the color is true selective yellow, or amber, and not too blue; and the beams are aimed correctly; there is no risk of drawing law enforcement ire. I would say most of this unwanted attention is caused by people using these cheap amazon/ebay lights that are flood/spot and don't have...
Yall are experiencing the biggest problems with LED headlights:
No heat produced by the light emitter means the ice/snow doesn't melt off the headlight lens. To my knowledge the only solution to this is RainX and/or occasionally stopping to clean the headlights.
Anything water/ice/snow/etc...
You're not understanding. LEDs for headlights have inherent problems. The light is the wrong wavelength, it's too blue and it essentially turns off your night vision. The high frequency blue light causes more glare, and becomes less perceptible to the human eye over distance. The short...
The headlights on the Mav are not great IMO - OK but not great. I think the problem is that they are LED and lack the full spectrum. It is a well known issue with LED headlights. The wavelength produced by these ultra-white LEDs induces glare and doesn't travel far. The best solution is to...
Other than wear and looks, how do they perform? Wet, dry, gravel, mud, pavement, etc. How do they ride? Noise? Steering feel?
I've had Continental on several vehicles. On most the ride was great, very quiet, but had a somewhat soft sidewall. I just run a bit higher psi and that compensated. One...
I believe they were referring to the interchangeability of the parts and the ease of "factory" modifications. A Mk1 you can literally throw a VAG parts catalog at it and almost everything would work or can be easily adapted to work. My chief mechanic has a Mk1 with a VR6 and a DSG, and...
This thread is solely responsible for Ford making more money this year, $500 at a time....
Love this color! Calling the dealer today to try and change my color.
I am kicking myself now for not ordering Azure Gray! It looks VERY nice! I ordered Atlas because I wanted to see a Mav in Azure before placing my order. Yours came two weeks too late! My order has been assigned a VIN, so no changes allowed... DOH!
