Picked up a refrigerator this morning for my friend down the road. His truck is in the shop. 🤣 Went well strapped the fridge and the dolly down and easily maintained highway speeds on the way back. Smooth ride!

I was misled by the title also... šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚.

But seriously, that's why it's nice having a truck but one that gets good mileage.

>> And some people will try to argue the Maverick is not a truck…

By the standards of half the people on this forum, my Miata was a truck. I used to carry crazy tall loads in the passenger seat with the top down.

I miss my Miata truck.

I glad you didn't have to make any quick turns.

First haul in my truck was 2 loads of organic dirt for my DW. To help keep it clean, put down a HD tarp. Easy cleanup. Truck did well.

Later, made 2 hauls of river rocks. Used tarp here too. Heavy load for <10 miles. Wiggled some, but managed load ok. I was worried over tires. Like get a flat, then how you jacks up truck with 1,000# plus load.

I’m hoping Santa brings a in bed tool/storage box so can put in a floor Jack, crossbar lug wrench, my 12 vdc impact wrench, 12 vdc compressor, and few other essential items.

With all the tie down points in the bed of the Maverick, I think I would have chosen to strap that thing in snugly. One quick application of brakes because of someone pulling in front of you would have sent it toppling into the cab.

It was strapped to a dolly that was ratcheted up against the frame. It was fully against the front of the tonneau frame. Just to get out of where I picked it up I had to go to a steep incline where they were redoing a bridge, stop and turn into the main road. I know it looks awkward but it wasn't just one strap on there.
