I am surprised they had a Ford battery in stock for you.

I wonder if replacing the Ford battery with a different brand is the solution. The Ford batteries with the deep sleep issues seem to have performed well for the first 6-12 months or so before the problems show up. Could it take the effects of the control module and parasitic draw that long before battery degradation shows up? It would be helpful if those having these problems included their battery type (AGM or Flooded).

If so, will the same thing occur on the new non-Ford batteries after 6-12 months? That should provide a better answer. Does replacing the battery solve the issue or just kick the can down the road? Might be too soon to tell.

I have the same specs on the battery I bought on my own. T4 470 CCA DieHard Gold. Been two weeks, no issues. I believe the batteries that come with the 2022-2023 Mavericks are not able to work with the Fordpass App, etc. You should be good to go for a long time. Another person posted over 7 months since he installed a new battery.

I would love to know how many of the Mavericks that have had this issue have an added modification or accessory that involves the electrical system. There are numerous examples:

- Auto Start/Stop eliminator
- Drive mode default switch
- Hood light strips
- Ambient light strips
- Additional outlets to the cargo bed
- Sound system changes
- Mirror upgrades
- Running light changes
- etc etc etc

Things plugged into any of the USB ports or power outlets:

- Wireless Android Auto
- etc etc etc

Changes made via Forscan

Bottom line, in most cases, something is drawing power from the battery that shouldn't be.

I wonder if "Battery Saver" might be referencing the $aving$ involved via installing crummy batteries in our trucks...
This exactly! It was supposed to come with an AGM battery and is even still set to that if you read it with forscan. Those that have replaced the cheapo installed battery with the AGM one are no longer having any problems.

I'm hopeful this will fix the issue. Interesting this battery is 470 CCA and the original battery was 390. Not that I expect it makes much difference for the hybrid.

I have not done any of those things above to my Maverick. The only changes I've made are the tonneau cover and spray in bed liner; and I don't think they could cause any issues. :) I just got my truck in Oct of '23 and only it has only 1300 miles. The Tech from Ford seems to think these issues are from the batteries sitting around prior to the truck being built but I'm not sure how much that really has any effect. I just think they are probably not very good batteries to start with but time will tell.

I have an old style charger that I had loaned to my neighbor and was not able to try it yesterday.

However Ford mobile service came out this morning and took the battery back to the dealership for testing. They called about an hour later to say the battery was defective and would be bringing me a new one.

They showed up with a new (different battery) and then did the software update for the blinker recall. Here's the battery they installed.

Nice. That's even better than messing with the dead battery. If mine ever pukes, I may skip the dealer and get a Die Hard Gold I think it is called . Saw where several others here have switched to that one and are having good luck with it. Hope the new MotorCraft one lasts you a long time!

Only time will tell if a new battery is the long term solution.

I got my second deep sleep notification in the Fordpass app yesterday. I drove it to work this morning with no apparent issues. I have made no modifications, nothing plugged into usb ports or power outlets, and never used Forscan.

Mine was charging as normal when the truck was on, at least according to the OBD2 reader I had plugged into it.

The Duralast Gold I replaced my battery with holds about the same voltage as the Ford battery, but does not go into deep sleep mode.
If it's holding even 0.01v above the deep sleep trigger voltage deep sleep will not happen. I do not have OBD reader but have a power point monitor. I have had no dome lights, etc three or 4 times in 23 months but never failed to start. Gave up waiting for battery to die for warranty replacement and one month ago put noco genius 5 on Underwood pins for first time for overnight. Then last week put Noco on for 4-4.5 days and after one day green light was solid. Then it would periodically do it's slow dimming "optimize" thing. I then took noco off about noon and ran the "up to 6-8 hour new/charged with truck locked battery learn" procedure. Just in case it matters for the BMS to see the "fully charged voltage capacity of the battery" maybe to set a target voltage??? Do not know but eliminate the possibility. With so many reporting that their batteries will never charge 100% it seems that BMS may be charging to a "learned" voltage to possibly keep from over charging a battery which has degraded over time. FYI I had a 2012 Honda crv which ate a battery about every 30 months so I got into habit of once or twice a year putting noco on it. The fourth battery was still cranking fine at 64months with the 4-5 day treatments. Who knows on hybrid maverick as it continually pulls current which the crv did not.

I recieved my first (and hopefully only) deep sleep warning sitting in the dealers new car delivery garage. I was picking up my '24 Lariat Hybrid, the dealer helped setup the FordPass app and was showing me some of the features of the truck, starting, stopping and setting other things up. He could no get the FordPass app to remote lock the doors. When I got home, I noticed the time of deep sleep message appeared when I was at the dealer.

I'm not too worried about it, yet! My truck was built 11/9/'23 and was stuck in shipping for 2 1/2 months. It endured a cold snap in January ( I'm in the midwest), probably had a muliple start/stops during rail and transport and had 27 miles on it when it was delivered. Not enough time or long trips to get the battery up to a full charge.

After driving it for 2 days now, mostly just to charge the battery, it seems to be fine. No issues starting, doom lights come on and FordPass app has no alerts and remote function work.

Love this little guy. It's the vehicle I needed for a long time.

My truck hasn't left deep sleep for more than 5 minutes for over month. Battery voltage has sat at 11.3 with no load throughout. Going to have it load tested and have them replace it.
