Decided to spice up the factory fender vents. I'm not a huge fan of the Air Designs ones, so I decided to add some mesh to my stock ones.
I removed my Air Design Functional Vents and put the OEM back on. Air Design ones were a bit too big.

I did like the air openings however - and your DIY job looks fantastic!

Question - did you Dremel from the outside or backside of piece?

The only costs were $10 for the epoxy and $30 for the mesh, and that gave plenty extra. The only tools required are a dremel with a cutting wheel and sanding attachment.

Awesome work! That’s exactly what I wanted to do!! Which side did you dremel the cover from, inside or out?

Nice.

I would like to add some turn signal or flood lights there.

That came out nice! 👍🏼

I've always been a big fan of mesh grills when done right. Yours came out very well. It looks factory like it should have come with the Lobo package.

I took the easy route and just dropped in some Tufskinz 🤷🏼‍♂️

I cut from the back side and then sanded the sides to be flush. You could cut from the side but the tabs will get in the way.

I thought about it, but wasn't really sure how to adhere a small led strip to the back of the mesh.

I was going to get the Air Designs ones but wasn't sure I'd like how much larger they are. I figured I'd try this first, and it's a lot cheaper. I cut from the back and then sanded the edges down flush on the sides. That was the easiest way. Cutting from the sides would probably leave a nicer finish but the tabs will get in the way while cutting

Nicely done! Definitely gives the truck a more premium look. It's the little things that matter.
