Our state has outlawed municipalities from implementing idling bans and remote starting (warm up) bans. It's our gas to use, we paid for it. The Maverick does not adequately charge the battery. After driving all day it hovers around 80 to 85 %. Never, ever reaches full charge like it absolutely should. I will agree with you on one thing, the Maverick needs a competent engineering department to find all of the parasitic draws that are happening and stop those. One should be able to know their vehicle is shut down when it is turned off. The small modem (basically a cell phone imbedded in the vehicle) would have miniscule current drain from a car battery. The Maverick Lariat Hybrid we have clicks a dozen clicks anytime we walk by it in the garage. The app is dumb.
Had very little utility.
You should not remote start anyway.
It wastes gas. It pollutes. And it is illegal in some states / municipalities.
But ignore that part. That wasn't the point.
The point is the battery and charging system generally works fine. You said or agreed it doesn't.
I pointed out parasitic draw is responsible in a lot of cases. Which is way different than "not charging".
