5k is not very useful for what most people are curious about. (Probably great for engineering trying to dissect their failure to live up to government dictate).
I also owe a Chevy SSR. It took 2k miles of mostly highway miles to go from 17 1/2 to 20.9.
After I realized resetting the computer, I...
That is a long time frame for a whole lot of people. If my life is short trips in a small town and if I take a thousand mile trip, the average stated is more lifetime of the vehicle than real life usable knowledge.
To know life vs road trip values, you have to reset when you hit the road.
That is quite the bitch session. I've read a number of threads that you have stated your complaints, and more back and forth where you play the victim and are being bullied. Why don't you sell the truck and leave the rest of us in our misery, in our totally inadequate vehicles?
Don't respond...
A boot in the UK is a trunk. An Aussie y-tuber mentioned that we call the back of our trucks the bed... "Do you sleep in them?".
Answer: Why yes we do! 😁
Yes, I know it's a lie because they just don't want to do it for me. I might try as a condition of buying their extended warranty. They really want that chunk of my money. 😂
As for doing it myself, I just don't think I can commit myself to that learning curve right now, but I also don't see...
I had read that thread about mymavmode and that gripe about returning to normal is on my list but down farther than the chimes and screens. If your serenity comes from reprogramming by Forscan, I'm still undecided on that. I'm not very tech savvy and my dealership said it would void the warranty.
I've never been able to figure it out. Prices 25 miles NE and 60 miles east are consistently lower than us in smaller towns. There is even a rail spur from Laurel MT were a Conoco refinery is to Cody. We're a tourist town, so that might explain a little gouging or subtle sort of price fixing...
By "first world" I assume you mean all the convince of modern technology. The over riding problem is the instant "nanny" prompts, chimes, and screens that will never go away. I'm a grown ass man, I don't need an animated object to tell me that I just opened the car door or I left the key in the...
I placed my order just after Independence Day '25, drove it home early Sept, a week or two earlier than I expected it (25 XL hybrid AWD).
Please post some pictures when you get it. I'm curious about Azure grey vs Carbon grey.
I agree. So many small things that nearly ruin an otherwise great product. If the truck is in park, there should be no door chime. If I get out because I forgot something, I have to press ok, even if I buckled up again. It's infuriating. Don't these programmers ever use the vehicle and think...
Yes you are correct. The on board manual will tell you how to shut off the chime and OK will dismiss the 1/2 screen warning to show the normal speedo layout. But as we discussed in a different tread, I still have to acknowledge that my truck acknowledged that I buckled my seatbelt. 🤪
I agree that I may be a minority opinion in those market forces. Still, at this point, the whole vehicle is a programmable computer and one should be able to make more changes for some preferences.
Talked to my dealer about changing some of the most annoying things (that I've learned can be done...
