I think we all should be accustomed to long waits as prospective Maverick owners. It sucks, but it is what it is.

After watching the past few live streams, it is clear that it must be extremely frustrating to be a Ford dealer. Ford changes things on a whim, and contradicts itself so often it must be maddening.

I contacted my dealer last week regarding the allocation amount and he said they would find out today from Ford how many Mavericks they will be allocated and wether or not my order (With $500 deposit given in June) will make the cut to be able to get an actual Maverick.

I won’t be fully satisfied until I get a VIN number to be honest.

The same dealership has also received a shipment of ‘22’s recently. A buddy I work with stopped by on his way home and took a few pics for me of them. Two of them were ‘22 xl’s and one of them was a Lariat fully loaded and had plates put on it, window sticker still on it.

He stops there quite frequently to take a peek for me and only noticed them bc there are not that many vehicles on the lot to begin with.

If I make the cut to get a Maverick then it’s just a waiting game until either my car completely breaks down or the Maverick gets delivered.

If my car breaks down unfortunately I think I will be forced to just buy a truck I can get my hands on which would most likely be a mid sized truck at that point.

I refuse to get a Santa Cruz or a Honda Ridgeline.

Haven't watched the stream yet, but see a lot of talk about allocations. Asked my dealer about allocations and they said they have 8. They told me they only have 5 orders, mine being the only priority code 10... so now we wait...

Theres a few Hybrid Lariats around me I'm going to take a look at. Way more than I wanted to spend on my XL MavBrid but I might take that jump.

Of all the things now, Ford cannot even get enough badges to put on their trucks. Remarkable. Back in the day my first job right after I got out of the military was making capacitors in a plant. The line I worked on made 10,000 capacitors a day. Nowadays, it seems like in this country, we cannot make 10,000 plastic friggin' spoons in a day. On top of that the Kentucky former race track has close to 50,000 F-150's waiting for parts.

Regardless, things are not getting better.

Some of us still waiting on late 22 builds 12 months later.
I doubt they even start on 23 builds until late November or December despite what Ford has said. 🤷‍♂️

With all the pissed off Ford customers making babies, Ford is going to require daycares in the dealerships!
Say... Ford could merge with Mc Donald's. (The kids could have slides and a ball pit) Mc Donald's could teach Ford how too make things cheap and quick. (I can get a Mc Ford burger 🍔)

The theory is that COVP may come into play for the secondary allocation formulas. The "here are some extra allocations this month" allocations. But this is just a theory.

The working theory is that COVP helps the dealer receive more allocations, that’s it.
