I bought my Maverick in January. In June my Phone app started getting disabled. They said it was a battery issue and there was a recall for it. I don't remember the exact reason, but they ultimately replaced the A/C because it didn't work after they did what they did, so I'm thinking it was he A/C module. It's interesting/odd/annoying that your dealer didn't know about that recall earlier.
Because it's not a recall.
Your dealer killed the ACCM doing a software update.

The installed a new battery today even though they said it checked about ok .
Then I had to return to dealer after I got home and looked under the hood. Found a tool. And I found the pos term cover off and no battery mount. New one was held down by gravity.

I think anomalous behavior is a byproduct of Ford's firmware development. Either that, or poltergeists. They're probably under a lot of schedule pressure and software testing is really expensive. Having to add features to someone else's code is a really good way to introduce bugs. I've had my fuel filler door pop open a couple of times when I was working near the truck and it had been parked for hours. The Recirc mode in the HVAC turns itself off for no reason I can fathom.

Recirc turning off at random is normal on all Fords. Ford determines when you need fresh air. Not you.

One day I tried to unlock the truck from the passenger door.
It wouldn't lock or unlock the truck.
The driver's side worked fine.
I made an appointment with Ford for the next day.
I tried it many times through the day and it didn't work.
I got in at night and noticed that none of the interior lights worked.

When I went to get in the next morning I tried the passenger door and it worked.
The interior lights didn't.

When I got to the dealer everything worked.
They said there were no codes.

It's been over a week and it hasn't happened again, but has anyone else experienced this, and do you know what it is/was?

Thank you.
I experience the passenger side handle sensor fail as well. Then it would mysteriously start working. If it isn't working, I just use the fob.

I like that the tool you found is Harbor Freight's #68351 pry bar, MSRP $5.

I'm sure in the hands of the tech that left it, it was actually a multi-tool.
Hammer, screwdriver, pry bar, plug popper, brake cylinder press, ect.

I'm guessing the tech immediately found a replacement muilt-tool.

I have to wonder why the tech would need a pry bar to R&R a battery. I can see a screwdriver to spread the clamps, channel locks to grab the terminals, and a socket for the hold-down clamp, but a pry bar??? Hmmmm.... Perhaps it was his multi-tool after all, and I am just anally retentive... ( * )

I generally use the touch the handle thing to lock/unlock my MY25 XLT Hybrid. about 30% of the time it will not lock. The unlock function has been 100% perfect so far. But the lock not working makes me angry. Sometimes one side works and the other doesn't.

Seemingly random and hateful

Shop teacher always said don't do like others and grab the nearest tool as a hammer - pretty soon you'll grab your light...

I've tried to always at least drop all the tools I think I'll need on the floor within reach, so I don't have to get back up from under a vehicle. Seems the least dropped and eventually needed tool - hammer.

Tech probably used that pry bar backwards as soft hammer to bang the clamp on.
