I took the rear seats out completely, nice storage space and don't have to worry about people wanting rides.....don't rag me about the color scheme, wifey had the plaid and I thought the field of stars would be too dark for the whole area. Upholstery fabric is $150+ per yard.

Yep I gave it a 6 out of 10 push and it's latched. Thanks
I can latch that back seat in 4 out of 10 push strength.

(Now you say, I can latch that back seat in 3 out of 10 strength.)

I reply "Latch that seat back" and you win a prize.

Put the palm of your hand on the front of the seat directly in front of the latch, then slam it with follow-through. It will work itself in.
Thank you so much for this tip. I recently took possession of my new 2024 Maverick and was pissed because I needed to use a ridiculous amount of force and repeat slammings of the rear seat back in effort to get the latch to catch. In fact the only way I could get it to latch was to sit in the back seat and lean back. I was all set to take it back to the dealer but figured I would try and find the answer here on mavericktruckclub.com. I saw the where others were adding shims to the catch loop and thought that would maybe be the solution. However, I happened to see your post and I went out to test your method and damn, it works first time every time, smooth as butter. Hand placement is key!!! Thank you sir!

Just happened to check behind the rear seat but realized the rear seat is not latching. I tried pushing pretty hard but no luck. Anyone else having this issue?
Just slam it. I tried pushing hard on mine but slamming it like a door works fine. I think you want it tight so no rattling. You put washers in it might become a little loose.
