Driver Door Locking

For no reason at all my driver door randomly locks, odd that all the other doors are not locked ! I think i have seen this post before but cannot find it for the remedy ! any ideas folks??

Most folks on this forum will suggest that you are actually locking the door accidentally with your left hand as you open the door latch.

If it’s electrically locking…I have no helpful suggestion.

The remedy is stop bumping the manual lock with your hand when getting out of the vehicle.

You're hitting the door lock LEVER while pushing the door open.. Not the Electric Lock Button. Very easy to do. Please Take a look at my video.
Did you see what happened when I unlatched the door to open it. Naturally it unlocks but when I pushed the door open with my hand, I accidentally pushed the manual locking mechanism and relocked only the driver's door. It is so natural to push the driver's door open from that position that you unconsciously relock the door.
I then unlocked it using the electric lock, which unlocked all the doors.

Film yourself opening the door and post it like this.
So we can see exactly what you're doing.

You're not hitting the electronic lock button.

The manual lock lever you're hitting on the way out is the only way to lock only one door. It is impossible to lock a single door electronically.

See Glen Baker's post. The KEY word here is 'Lever"....not "Button" You are pushing the lever in with your left hand...inadvertently. Not hitting the button with the lock symbol.

The electric loc button locks all doors the manual lock lever only locks the door it's on.

I’ve experienced the same problem on my 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid- keys in the console tray and exited the vehicle for a few minutes came back the drivers door was lock I had no interaction with any manual locking device I freaked luckily only the drive door was locked. I have no clue why this happened remedy I don’t leave the key fob in the vehicle even if I exit for a few seconds - this is a real phenomenon
