Anyone have experience with your door remotes just not working randomly? It’s happened at least 3 times to me now. Where I’ll try to unlock my truck and nothing, not a single button will work on the remote. I’ll got into the house and try the other remote. Same thing. Thankfully my truck has the keypad and once unlocked suddenly me keys will work again! It’s just very strange and frustrating with what is becoming a longer list every month of random problems. Any insight is helpful. I’ve got a 2022 XLT Ecoboost with most options.

When you get in finally - does your overhead light turn on for what you recall was the normal length of time?

When you open door to get out, does the light stay on for what you recall was normal time?

Those are actually hard to notice sometimes if the battery saver mode has been getting engaged, and it's slowly decreasing the time on over a decent period of time.

My key fob recently started doing the same; non responsive and took several attempts to work.
I got a message on the center dash screen that the key battery was low and to replace soon.
Never seen that before.
I have a 2022 XL hybrid with about 63,000 miles.
Got it December 2021, so just over 3 years old.
Pulled my 2nd key from storage and using that.
Message went away and plan to replace 1st key fob battery soon.

Great question. I haven’t paid attention yet. I’ll have to try to remember when it happens next.

I thought that might be the case but I tried both of mine twice when this has happened and neither were responsive.

Mine seems to always work with the button, but the keyless unlock only works maybe 25% of the time.

First thing I would try is replacing the batteries in the FOB's. Simple process.

Seems strange that it would be both only at specific times and then they all work fine once I keypad my way in.

This may sound crazy but the same thing happened to me. 23 XLT Eco. Tried both fobs and screen said replace battery. Did that and still said that on screen. I have a 20 Escape so I got in that and it said fob battery low. Replaced the battery and just for kicks checked the Mav fob and they worked perfectly. Had to be related but who knows.

I had a few instances where the fob wouldn't work. I had to open the truck using the physical key. The cluster gave me some sort of warning until I put the key in the switch. I don't remember the warning.

I'm thinking it's your 12v battery. Still using the OEM? I was having similar issues with my 2022 hybrid which led me to replace the stock battery with an AGM. All those quirky problems with door locks, cabin lights, deep sleep, and no starts disappeared immediately. Been about 6 months and still no problems.

This is what I was thinking was the issue. I’ve received the recall notice but haven’t replaced my own battery yet. I was hoping to hold off until Ford would do the work but I also don’t want to get stranded somewhere.

You know, it's a simple DIY job to replace the OEM battery with a new AGM. I posted a thread on it which I'll include below. To be honest, I wouldn't wait for Ford. Battery is available on Amazon for just over $100 (keep in mind Amazon will post a message saying the battery will not fit your Maverick, but that is because the Maverick did not come stock with an AGM battery.) Doesn't matter. The H4 battery size will fit perfectly without any modification.

Last week my brother in law purchased a 2019 escape titanium. First time he used second fob got red dash lights and message "key not detected". Went to dealer and got battery in fob replaced all good but remote start won't happen. Have appointment in three days to have checked out for reprogram or replace fob or (?). I always check my fob range every month or two and replace battery if lock/unlock doesn't happen about 150 feet away. Did not think to check his fobs when looking at car to buy!!!
Edit to Add: called my sales person that sold me my mavericks and made appointment for my brother-in-law before going in so I got the $50 referral check.👌
