Door Locks Automatically

I have a 2024 XLT Eco Boost.
Is there something I’m missing.
If I open the truck start the truck and close the door. The door locks even if truck is running. My opinion it should never lock with truck running and key inside truck.
Any suggestions.

How are you opening the truck, where are you sitting/standing when you start the truck, and have you tried unlocking all the doors to see if it is only the driver's door that is locking?

It does not lock automatically.​

It is not something that can happen on the truck.​

Unless somebody can post a honest video showing that it auto locks by itself. I have to believe it's driver error.
If you have or can make a video showing the Maverick Auto locking with the fob inside please post one.

Yeah that doesn't happen by magic. Ford even looked into it (data logs), it's people accidentally locking themselves out.

I'm going to assume you have a cell phone Please make a *honest of it happening and post it to clear up any confusion thank you very much.
I find it very frustrating, that not one person who has had this situation happen to them. Will fight tooth and nail that it's not operator error.
BUT
Has been unwilling or unable to *honestly replicate the situation on video.
*showing the 2nd/ extra key fob is not involved.

Unless OP hears the electric locks locking the door and moving this lever, they are inadvertently hitting this manual lock lever. Not the electric lock button in front of the door latch area.

If OP would upload their vid to youtube, we could view it.

I've seen his video there are some clarification issues ie blurring that I'm hoping he can/will reshoot.
I did send "Frankford" the OP a follow-up DM explaining the blurry portion of the video what position the lock lever was in. I only hope that he responds tomorrow.

Ford can fix this by making it unlock if the door is closed while locked in park, that assumes the truck can sense that the manual lock lever has been engaged.
