I just unloaded 1300 pounds of sand out the back of my Mav (XL, awd, 4k) this morning. I share your observations. No photos either, but the rear springs were really compressed. I had hauled 1000 pounds of gravel earlier in the week, still a load, but that would probably be the max I’ll target...
Both ends of this boat are squared off. Take a typical Mackenzie style drift boat and chop off a couple feet from both ends and voila! There it is.
This boat is made by a builder out of Eugene, OR, Koffler Boats, it’s their White Water Pram. The trailer is a drift boat trailer with a roller...
Nope, haven’t been back to the dealer for any work. I have also turned off any over the air updates as the truck has been operating fine. When I get my turn signal recall down I’m sure it will get mucked up.
I captured what works on my 2022 XL EB here: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/signal-lights-as-drls.28871/post-535584
Briefly: vehicle is started, shifted out of park, the lights go to Auto. In daylight, the front and rear parking bulbs illuminate, but the low beam bulbs stay...
Going off memory, after turning off the ignition (XL here, got the key), you can turn off the parking lamps by turning the light switch to off “O”. But as soon as you open the door, the parking lamps and the bed lamp turns on as a departure courtesy lights, and will turn Off after 15 or so...
yeah, it took a few paper napkin sketches before I arrived at this design. I had originally conceived an idea using the basic shelf brackets but that was too crude. Be interesting to see others designs.
I just got finished with version 1 of my fishing rod holder for my truck bed. I got tired of cramming rods into the cab or having them rattle around in the bed. The key components of this design is the Builtright molle rack, and some folding shelf brackets.
I’m trying to decide whether to...
The farther back from the rear wheels (the pivot point) the end of load will swing wide, outside the lane of travel. Load extenders support a long load but encourage longer loads that approach insane.
Exactly.
Diagnol is the obvious solution. But when the load is not flat, diagonally is a tough fit.
When you have multiple things going diagonally, to fit, it’s just an indication that things could be better if….
And diminish the effecti of the garden tool by reducing the leverage?
This isn’t the first reply that advocates cutting down tools.
huh. I now wonder how many people out there actually do their own gardening and yard work.
I didn’t really intend on trolling with this topic when I posted, but it sure ended up getting a few rises.
yeah, the length of the bed was published but really, how many of us went into the shed/basement and measured out things we may toss in the back? The 25 bags of mulch I loaded up fit...
And yet people applaud owners when they hang a 13’ kayak out the bed. Sheesh.
yeah it’s a baby truck, but a Ford Courier had a bigger bed and yet was smaller than a mav.
Your guys’ loyalty is commendable.
This is a annoyance about the Maverick. The bed is 6” too short.
On my way to the dump to rid some yard waste. A cheap ole garden tool fails to fit. Jeez Ford, if one of the target users is homeowners, garden tools should be a consideration.
What I have observed is that when the headlight selector is in Auto, the dashboard lights are illuminated. When you enter a dimly lit section of roadway your low beams will become activated at normal intensity and a green headlight icon on your dash will illuminate. And when the low beam bulbs...
