It's up to you of course. In my case I had originally ordered an XL with the 2 litre AWD with some but not a lot of extras, for just under $ 33000 ( Canadian ) 2 months later , I cancelled that and upgraded to,the XLT, with the FX4, a 4000 lb tow package and upgraded wheel rims with the better...
It works when it dark and raining. I live on Northern Vancouver Island on the West Coast of Canada. 200 km of rural highway with no streetlights . I highly recommend you get the Co Pilot 360 . I'm also an older driver, age 63
IMO,
YES .. Co Pilot 360 is well worth waiting for. The lane keeping function works fine when it's dark and raining
Another thing I really like, is the BLIS ( Blind Spot Indicator System ) it works perfectly and turns on as soon as a vehicle disappears from your mirror ( off as well once a...
I have an FX4 that I sometimes take on gravel roads . It can climb and descend with excellent traction on 20 % grades, but the lack of ground clearance is a limiting factor. ( Of course its different if one never plans to take it off pavement and never travels on snow covered roads )
To me...
I made a similar deal in Canada. The dealer did not mark up the selling price, over and above MSRP. When the vehicle was delivered 6 months later, the MSRP had gone up by exactly $ 1000 Canadian . Which I had to pay. .Still the " revised " MSRP " was better than MSRP plus $ 6000 to $ 10000...
I was considering getting a Hybrid, but ended up getting the Ecoboost with the 2 litre Turbo. It has great power at 250 HP and 277 ft lbs of Torque . It is an All Wheel Drive . It gets great Fuel mileage on the Highway , can even be better than the EPA estimates if not driving too hard...
I've got an XLT with the FX 4 and the CP 360.. I paid $ 165 extra for a full size spare. However, I am in Canada. Maybe it is different in the USA.. if so that's good .
BLIS system, is FAR from useless for me. You can glance in the mirror and it shows if something is in your Blind spot.. A lot easier than Cranking my head around... But I am 63 ......
( BTW.if I am going to make a lane change, and the light is NOT on . I still check the other lane, the old...
I have the Co Pilot 360. In my opinion, it would be well worth the wait to get it. The BLIS ( blind spot indicator system ) is excellent. . I would rather have kept driving my old 2007 Ranger, than leave out that feature. my new Maverick. i am going to,change lanes , I still will look over...
My brother in law is your size, he fits just fine in the Driver's seat of my new Ford Maverick . I sat behind him, and had enough room ( I'm 5 ' 10 ")
I think the Maverick is surprisingly roomy inside, in spite of how small it may look from the outside. I must have watched 100 videos about...
It
Great comparison
'Maverick is a " Car Truck " for me, that looks like a mini F 150 . ( or could say an SUV Truck ) I just got mine and it's great. I decided to keep my super basic 2007 Ranger " Truck " for those Truck jobs .
I got the Maverick to replace my 2007 Ford Ranger ( which I have now decided to keep) Everything you said is true
I am 63, this will be a great vehicle for me. It is like a small version of an F 150, as your photo shows
I will tell them if I thought it needed an Extended warranty, I would just not buy it at all. And that my 2007 Ford Ranger I bought new has been totally reliable for 15 years and 175, 000 Kilometres.
We will all just have to be patient , although that is easy for me to say now, . I have received a Window Sticker dated March 30, 2022. I ordered on November 25, 2021... XLT FX 4, with Co Pilot 360, Spray in Bedliner , Hard Rollup Tonneau , 4 K Tow package, 120,volt 400 watt plug in , and...
It took me 4 months to get a build date from Applewood Ford in Port Hardy, BC for an XLT with FX4, 4K Tow package. Spray in Bedliner, CO Pilot 360 and hard roll up Tonneau, They gave me a copy of the " Window Sticker : dated March 28, 2022 I will be paying MSRP . I expect it will take...
All good discussion. I had no idea Toyota had a composite bed ,it seems like a great idea.
Sounds like it has worked very well for you. Very interesting . 👌
Thank you
That could work. As for myself, I am quite happy with the steel bed... SIBL and a Bed Mat. ( and I have a Brain) ,
I 'm sure the Toyota composite has some advantages but must have disadvantages as well. And the Maverick bed is 4.5 feet long.
