Does your Maverick have a jack?

So the jack and lug nut bar are under the rear passenger seat for 2022-2025s? Not sure why, but I've never gone looking for them. I figured I'd consult the manual when the time came.

It's good to know where they are ahead of time. I'll probably look when I get home tonight. It's bad enough getting a flat. The last thing you need is having to go looking for everything (and hoping it's there) when it's dark and you're in the middle of nowhere.

Totally agree about pre-planning ahead of time. Even better than that is unwrapping the tool bag and becoming acquainted with the tools themselves when you have time. Try out the tools and use them to partially lower the spare so you know the process. That way you will know how everything works. Take the owners manual and go through the steps. It will pay off. Lastly, marking the recessed jack locations under the sill in white in case you have a flat at night will help too.

Can someone with a 25/26 Tremor crawl under and verify the spare tire size? I'm pretty sure that the 70-series is incorrect, and is actually a 60-series. Even a pic of the door jamb sticker would help.

Not a Tremor but FX4 and you are correct. I just did my air pressure for the spare the other day, didn't even think to look but next time I go out I will.

Anything larger than a 60R17 would negatively impact the functional depth of the trailer hitch. I have one hitch ball that already hits the spare tire before I can get the pin inserted.

A lot of tire places will not patch a tire if you put a plug in it also.

well if you do it right then there won't to take it to them. If there's a subsequent leak you want them to fix I don't think there is some 'one plug maximum' that they adhere to and they wouldn't know if you slapped the plug in or if some other tire place did it.

I thought the torque was wrong too on my Mav at first. The F-150's I had were 150 lb ft

The lug nut torque specification for your vehicle is 148 lb.ft (200 Nm) for M14 x 1.5 bolt sizes.

I agree.
When I got my Maverick home and in the garage.
I loosened the lug nuts and re-tighten them same way I have for the last 50 years.
I haven't had any come loose.

This setup has served me well.

I don't need to be 75 to over 100 miles away from somewhere in 100°+, get a flat tire. Then half the fight the excessively torqued lug nut.
