Ford actually had a Bronco truck ready to go alongside the two and four door Broncos back when they were launched...yes, it existed and was shown behind closed doors as a part of the lineup, and then they got cold feet at the last second and pulled the plug. Adding a truck to the Bronco lineup...
Figures...honestly, it's intended to fasten with the bolts over top, but it looks like Ford abandoned that during assembly. I guarentee that they decided to attach the driver's screen dash bubble in order of assembly before getting to the steering wheel assembly with the shroud, which is when...
...mine is like that too. Really sort of ticks me off to be honest and shows a lot about QC. Not sure...but I think you have to remove the plastic trim for the whole drivers "screen", tuck it behind properly at the corners, then bolt it back into place to actually get the gaps and crap out of...
The Maverick is oddly one of the few crew cab trucks that I actually am ok with as far as visuals go...the other is the Colorado/Canyon. I usually can't stand the hood and bed being about the same length, with the center/cab being the dominant line of sight. I like having a back seat, but I'd...
The rise of Carvana has really screwed things up as well...their pricing has always been higher than average due to the nature of what's going on, and then their pricing basically became the average once it somehow/someway became common for people to do.
Let me put it this way...when a 2020 Ranger with 50k miles hits $30k plus with an added 4 year warrenty, and the dealer refuses to budge/has not called me back in about a month...yet the vehicle still sits, lol..there you go. They were willing to take $600 off asking, and talks ended.
Used...
My Mustang has the old 12 speaker Shaker Pro system with an 8" sub, so I'm used to the smaller sub size and couldn't care less about anything larger. The B&O system just hits the personal mark for "fine by me" to where I wouldn't want to mess with changing anything; it's not the greatest, but...
I like the Tremor as its own branding and not a package on top of the Lariat, but the entire refresh pricing stinks. Ford has no interest in these ever being sub $30k vehicles moving forward. The old pricing tiers is part of what made these make so much sense, but it'll just become more and more...
And you can go back to the F100, blahblahblah I know. I consider all 80s/90s/2000s/2011 Rangers OG, as honestly...not much really evolved there, haha, especially with the gen 2 vs gen 3.
Agreed...I like the interior/gauges/smaller screen of the original design SO much better. I didn't like the refresh's front end at first for years, but it strangely has grown on me since I've started looking at buying/bought mine. I actually like the Lobo/Lariat/Tremor front end with light...
That's what I kept running into...at one point I was even thinking XL and dumping money into audio/wheels/tires/bedliner/etc after...but dealers around me were only knocking off like $1,750 on the XL, because they sell, $3,500 on Lariats, $4000 off of XLT/FX4s, and then $3,800 on Tremors with...
Seriously...the Maverick is a good thing moving forward. I cross-shopped everything and just kept coming back to the Tremor after being close on an FX4 and a hybrid Lariat. It's the most truck-ish, I like how the suspension rides, and I don't have to mess with an audio project, new tires...
Well...driving down a highway at 6:40am, going 60 in a 70 because old Ranger, and there's a lovely super-large hill/greenspace separating the north and southbound lanes so that you can't see anything on the other side.
Just happily driving along, and then out of the corner of my eye to the...
Yup...I do love the name Maverick though. Ford is locked into Mustang and Bronco everything...stupidly...but they really should bring back some of their better old namesakes like Falcon, Ranchero, and Galaxie. Maverick is such a great name though; glad they used it here and not on yet another CUV.
Exactly...F150s are too big, the current Ranger is an F150 in size, and the Maverick just fits like a glove. I'm not a fan of all the tech/nannies/digital crap, etc...but it's my choice of truck by far right now. Most importantly...it's fun, when most vehicles are absolutely not these days.
I...
Haha...nope. I bought it used back in 2011 with 65k miles on it/to be retired at only 108.5k miles. It has clogged cats, is a total rust bucket underneath and on its last legs as far as the frame goes, and is on its second engine. True story; 04 and 05 Rangers used scrap for the valve heads and...
