Does the horn beep when you lock/unlock ?

Just wondering if the horn beeps when you lock or unlock the Maverick. I hate hearing vehicles do that and I sometimes don’t get home from work until very late and I am sure my neighbors won’t be dancing a jig having to hear that.

Should be only when you press the lock button twice. Or, with intelligent access key, if you close the door with the vehicle running and key outside of the cabin.

Yes. controls are on the steering wheel. I had to turn mine on, it was off from the factory or dealership. The horn also lets you know if you didn't shut a door or hood when you lock the doors. If a passenger gets out and doesn't close the door all the way when you lock it, it will double honk letting you know something isnt closed and it will not lock. If the horn is off you will never know that it didn't lock.

Click keyfob once, it illuminates letting you know it’s locked.

click key fob twice, it does the same but sounds the horn for a second.

Yep, it's useful, it lets you know if a door is not shut properly by doing a double beep. If you don't want to hear it, just press the lock button once. It only beeps on a double press.

No when unlocking. Mine beeps when the lock button is pressed twice.

Hmm...actually on the wheel. I'll have to look. I would like mine to beep when the lock button on the handle is touched.

Have an XL as well. There is no difference to others. Lock it by hitting the button once: no beep, hit it twice: one beep.

If you have the intelligent access fob. Get out of truck while it's ready get the double honk. If you want to leave truck ready with AC or heat on while outside shut the door and lock with fob (not sure maybe with door handle also). Then you can walk away and truck will stay on until you return. (If going to be gone over 30 minutes you may need to turn off the 30 minute max idle timer if it's on).

So not an actual button.

It's this Feedback option for the key double-lock press honk.
It's this Mislock option for the chirp on key single-lock press if a door/hood/tailgate is open. Might want to know about that one.

Well - unless you have key in ignition and hit Lock All button.
I think the same thing if you have keyless entry and fob in car.
Prevents accidental all-door lock when key's aren't with you.
Does NOT prevent pressing driver door lever lock with keys in cabin though.
