When I push the lock button on the FOB, the doors lock. If I push it a second time, the horn beeps. What is this telling me?

One beep = all doors, and hood is locked.
Two beeps = one or more doors cannot lock due to being not completely shut.
The second push is asking the truck to tell you if the first push was successful.
Also the second push shuts off the dash, radio, courtesy lights within a second or two EXCEPT THE DASH AND BED POWER POINTS ARE LEFT ACTIVE!

You are correct in that one toot should have alarm set which happens when truck is locked.
The first single toot verifies that truck was locked which allows the alarm to be set. The two toots verifies that the locking which allows the alarm to be set could not be locked so the alarm could not be set. To check/test leave a door open or not completely closed and push the lock button twice and get two toots. Then try to open any door or try to jack up truck to see if alarm goes off. Try again with all doors, etc shut, get the single toot and check the alarm. I have never used remote start but if truck will not lock, I believe that remote will not happen if truck will not lock. You could test that function also.

True...but I believe ONE press opens everything also...if you have it set that way.
Yes. It is configurable in the vehicle settings to one press unlocks all.

The two lock presses sounds horn can also be disabled if you like. IIRC, it's under "Mislock Chirp."

There's also a way to disable one lock press sounds horn, but don't recall the procedure. I do know I disabled it, because the flashing park lights is sufficient for me, without annoying others.

And FORScan was not required to do it.

Yes, thanks for the clarification and man… if people would just read the manual sometimes it would answer a lot of these questions. I can’t say I’ve read it from page to page but if I’m looking for an answer to something, I’ll go to the manual. Usually, it’s pretty simple and in black-and-white.

Yes I used menu settings to turn off one toot on one press also. Do not remember exactly either. I am happy having one ,(success) or two (failure) toots on the two push of lock button.

This is also used as a method to help you find your car in a parking lot without exposing it to theft.
