I'm not sure if owners are "upset" by it, but having to hit OK or wait 60 seconds before you can use the screen every time you start the vehicle can be a mild annoyance. I'm glad you're not annoyed by it Glen but, if you think objectively, you may be able to understand why people don't want or need it.

Having been trained as a young child to put my seatbelt on as soon as I sit down in a vehicle, it is 100% instinctual for me to do so, and I don't need a reminder. I've disabled belt minders in every car I've owned that allowed me to, starting in 2000. 25 years without a reminder, and I wear a seatbelt in every vehicle I drive, 100% of the time, and I can use the screen as soon as I start the vehicle.

Oh, and changing modes doesn't bother me in the slightest, but I drive in normal mode about 90% of the time...
Disabling all the chimes and nannybots at startup has increased my satisfaction with this truck by a large margin. It has not encouraged me to drive around without my seat belt, ever.

Same here, parents did not move car until we were buckled. Someone on this site clued me in, buckle all 3 rear seat belts & the reminder does not show up anymore as long as you are belted.

It doesn't show up if you disable it in FORScan either. There's more than one way to skin a cat, as they say.

That's my method, I seldom have anyone riding in the rear seat so I just leave the rear belts buckled.

It doesn't interfere with access to the underseat storage, but does interfere with folding the back portion down, which I would only do to access the jack if ever needed since the stupid seat doesn't fold flat enough for my liking.

If anyone is going to ride in the back seat it's easy enough for them to unbuckle the belt before getting in and then buckling back up once seated.

This is much better for me than seeing that seat belt pop up map and hearing the chime every time.

I will concede that changing your preffered drive mode at every start up is an aggravation.

Forgive give me for asking . I did try a rudimentary search.

Does FORscan use leave a footprint that may affect warranty? I'm getting tired of 'OK'ing through the seatbelt advisory and having to switch to ECO mode every time I drive and would like to set mode to default to ECO, as well as turn the annoying seatbelt advisory completely off.

From what I read here this may require manual input via FORscan to adjust the appropriate module(s). I don't want FORD refusing warranty service if they determine I made adjustments.

Thank You folks. Love the site.
You don't have to wait for any and all screens to OK or even expire just push the mode button the number of times you need to for the mode you want.

Using Forscan and Mymavmode module I can finally start my 23 Mav XLT hybrid and start driving without having to press anything! Love it!

On the Mymavmode module I used a Positap T tap. Eliminated seat belt minder using Forscan.

Not a big deal but I was just tired of having to do 6 buttons to start driving in Eco mode :)

The other 2 fuse taps are for my Garmin mini dash cam. Fuse 6 for the Mymavmode module is a PITA! It didn't help that it was a muggy 91 degree day!

91° in November? Are you in Brazil?

The tap for the MyMavMode actually looks easier than those other two by far!

The fuse box in the Maverick is an absolute joke. So tight!

Absolutely every move you make with your phone is documented in the phone, even if you turn the screen from portrait to landscape.

Absolutely every keystroke and mouse movement you make on your computer is saved in the registry.

So yeah, everything you do to the truck, start, stop, break, speed, FORSCAN is recorded and saved.

Um... No. I suspect you're just having a bit of a laugh? Additionally, Ford would have no reason to look at your computer to see that you made changes using ForScan. Also... No on the screen turning sideways and such. Not sure how these things are related honestly. If you're trying to say that the OS in the truck's computer is keeping track... I couldn't argue that. However, as mentioned earlier, it's nothing for Ford to compare the factory settings vs the settings you put in.

To the OP, I thought that we could change the order that the driving modes are set. I haven't researched it yet but it is on my list. I'm working on adding adaptive cruise control to my XLT and defaulting to Eco mode is on my list as well.
