Does anyone know a simple trick to hold the cover open on the trailer light connection so it doesnāt rest on the wires? I might be missing the obvious here. It seems it should stay open on its own to prevent damage. Thanks!
Iāve always thought the truck is too quiet when I hit the key fob to lock the doors. My old 97 Camaro gave a beep beep so you know it was locked without locking at it. My Cruze has a nice K-Lunk when it locks. The Maverick is just silent. Iām always checking my drivers door to be sure.
The totes fit in there nicely. I had a cargo net before to use with a trailer I had. I might have used it once before it became an impossible tangle. Kudos if you can keep yours straight š¤£. I have a roll up tonneau cover on my bed now.
Try using a hair dryer along the top of it if you have a Tonneau Cover like mine. It seems to be vulnerable to moisture getting between the cover and tailgate which freezes and makes everything stick. Don't force anything as you might damage the weather stripping. When you do get it open...
I bet it rode really smooth! My estimate is the Maverick can haul about 1/3 cord safely. Bro and I used to haul wood up from Southern Wisconsin 3 cords at a time in an old International dump truck and my '66 Ford 3/4 ton. The Maverick beats both of those by a wide margin in comfort and...
Sometime in the future Iām supposed to haul an old barber chair to a museum. Iām not sure how thatās going to work out. Might be best to put it on my trailer and keep it low to the ground.
I guess the wind resistance causes more mileage drop than we figure. I think of all those guys with a big snowplow on the front of a 3/4 ton truck. every little bit helps I guess. They even make the door handles more flush with the body now than back in the 60's and before. I've gotten close...
So sorry about the dog, but at least everyone survived. I feel it's a very safe vehicle. It just made me think of the old story of the only two Model T's in the county colliding. Things are bound to happen...
