Why worry over nothing?

When I bought my Maverick it was not advertised with an odometer reading. It was just being sold as “new”.

When I arrived at the dealership, it had 45 miles on it. By the time I purchased it, it had 52 miles on it. Because yeah, I test drove it for 7 miles. This is normal.

It's hard not to worry but you are the one that is s destroying the goodness of today. Worrying about something that may have never happened or that will never happen. Here are a couple examples

  • If a problem is fixable, there is no need to worry: The Dalai Lama said that if a problem can be fixed, there's no need to worry.

    • Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength: Worrying can take away is joy from the present moment.
  • Keep in mind the warranty is 3 yrs or 36000 miles which ever comes first. So if you have documentation showing you took delivery of a vehicle with 100 or let's say 300 miles. That vehicle would be under warranty from 3 yrs or 36300 miles.

  • LOT of times new. Vehicles get dealer traded and miles are put on a vehicle. Those miles do not get subtracted from a customers warranty.
  • So there are far greater things to worry or pray for.
No you do not have a right to know. It is Ford's until its on the lot. At that time is the dealership or the bank that's financing there inventory. Once you sign the dotted line and take ownership, then that's a different story. Like take it in for service and it has 100 additional miles on it. One because now you own it also that 100 miles is subtracted from your warranty
Although I told the salesperson we'd finalize the deal on Monday, I went out Saturday to take pictures of my 2025 almost-every-option Lariat Hybrid special order z-plan Maverick. Right in front of me as I'm taking pictures, he and a potential customer go for a ride around the block in it.🤷‍♂️
So yup, it really ain't mine until I sign the dotted line.
However, they did give me a lot more for my trade-in than it was worth. A real pos.
Overall, I'm not the least bit upset. This is one boomer (peace, love, dope) who can't/won't worry about the small stuff.
So you're not alone. Life is an adventure, enjoy the ride.

Dont sweat the small stuff...

I spent 11 years at dealerships in service and sales. Every vehicle got a pre delivery inspection and road test. My routine trst drive was between 10-20 miles.

If I found an issue like poor performance, a rattle, etc. it got more miles on it.

The assembly plant also test drives random vehicles to insure they are ready to ship.

Its not like someone wore a new pair of underwear then put it back into the package.
