A thread for accessories, repairs, augmentations, additions, etc. that are not Off-The-shelf products.
Re-purposing products to be something they weren't intended to be, or were not made for a Maverick.
DIY features and accessories and hacks.

A recent post about a rooftop tent mounted inside the bed would be an example. Another would be that excellent DIY 1/2" thick aluminum ladder rack.

I picked up a pair of $19 thick rubber mats at Costco, 3x4'. I cut them to fit in the bed as a very sturdy bed liner. About 1/2" thick. Similar to horse stall mats. It fits in 3 pieces, and I have enough left to cover the inside of the tailgate in two pieces, but they are so heavy I don't think I'll do it. I will use a red hot piece of iron to "weld" the joins together on the bottom.

pic shows a scrap piece revealing what the bottom looks like; no danger of water getting caught under there.

That looks very nice -perhaps send to the manufacturer and suggest they make it in a size that can be a single piece.
That said, why do you say 'no danger of water getting under there" - especially for those w no bed cover I would think there could be a danger of that, and even those with slightly leaky bed covers- perhaps remove it once a month to air out and check for moisture?

I found a 4' x 8' product similar to what you have at Rural King for $20. Don't know if Rural King is in everyone's neighborhood, but it's all over our part of the country.
The material on your mat looks pretty firm. Which is good. Mine might be less firm, but is holding up well to sliding totes, boxes and other stuff around on. I was able to use the extra length on my tailgate.

no danger of water getting CAUGHT under there. There is airflow for evaporation because of the raised disks. note: my hard tonneau doesn't let much water in at all, even though I did not install the included weatherstripping. Even washing it and spraying with a hose there's very little water getting into the bed.

Did the same but with a 4 x 6 horse stall mat from tractor supply. Difference is the mats are thicker than that Costco one. I also did the tailgate with it. Used black automotive fastners to hold it in place.

Bronco Sport wheels meet OP's criteria.
And the Escape HVAC I'm going to install to get my temp display on the knob.
ACC - Adaptive Cruise Control was a big DIY hack job :)

I'm new to Maverick Truck Club. In fact, I am probably still unofficial since I don't yet own my 2026 XLT Hybrid.
Not sure if this is the proper way to insert a comment, but here goes.
Now, to the point of my intrusion. As I said, I am getting an XLT, and I am also sending a 2008 Escape LTD to salvage heaven. But before that is completed, I want to take as much useful pieces from it. I was thinking that the chrome roof rack just might fit the top of the Maverick. Any thoughts.

I did the stall mat thing back in 2023 and still am happy with it. I haul air most of the time anyway, but it does stop things from moving around back there.

My most useful hack that I use every drive is a bit of 3M abrasive tape attached under the 25MY touchscreen. I don’t have to look at my screen - I just feel for the tape.

Put a bit on my Mode buttons too as I use them every drive.

Edit…also added some to the steering wheel to find the upshift paddle when making a hand over hand turn:)

on of the main reasons I went with a 2024 instead of a 2025. I have real buttons and knobs. I also did not like the front end on the 2025. I saw another thread where they installed clickable buttons on a screen protector. All nice hacks to fix what should never be broken. And ya I know you can "talk" to the truck. But this old dog really only yells at other cars on the road :)

I didn't find an option I liked for a camera mount, so I created my own. Started with the Mabett dash tray. https://www.amazon.com/Mabett-Dashboard-Organizer-Maverick-Accessories/dp/B0C5LY63KH
Built up from there with a scroll saw and wood scraps.
Two binder clips hold it all together and makes it easy to remove.
The angled piece is for stability. Lots of bouncing without it.
Still deciding whether to paint it black or just leave it rustic.

I went to my Ford dealer and got an old rubber bed liner from a trade in cuz they generally get thrown away or just throw them off to the side it was free cut it to fit perfect
